Benson is a happy guy that likes being cuddled and petted on. Sleep in the human bed and stays close to you. Loves his furry doggie friends. He's a little leg lifter so abelly band is needed. He keeps them on and they are always dry when I take them off to go out to do his busniess. About 10 lbs he is, so hes small body with long legs. He likes to be close and usually find him under the desk when Im at the computer. Looking for a home where someone has the patience to make him a better pup that he is. Benson is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. Pepper is 10 years old. She’s a black dog. She’s not a “beginner” dog. And in rescue… that’s already three strikes. When Pepper was found, she was in a swamp. Alone. Terrified. With a massive wound on her backside and a coat so matted it hurt just to exist. No one knows how long she was out there. Pepper is still learning how to trust. She is a dog you ask permission to touch. A dog who needs patience, respect, and someone who understands that love isn’t always instant. And here’s the part that matters most— Once you’re hers… you are hers. She will put her tiny face into your hand and ask for love. She will walk beside you. Ride in the car like a perfect little passenger. She will choose you, fully and completely… but only if you take the time to choose her first. We know she’s not for everyone. But we also know there is someone out there who will read this and feel it in their chest. Someone who understands that the best dogs… the once-in-a-lifetime dogs… don’t come easy.
