Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501c3 virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.    Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.   Doodle Alert!! Meet Tofu - the perfect family dog!  Tofu is playful and sweet, gets along with all the other dogs in his foster home, both large and small, male and female.  Tofu has shown no signs of resource guarding, aggression or anxiety - just a dog who loves to be loved by all.  His demeanor is calm but he does love to run and play.  Tofu is ten months old, was pulled from a shelter along with his siblings (all brothers), and is now learning the "tricks of the trade" as far as house training, leash walking, kennel/crate training - doing especially well, never any accidents!  As a young pup Tofu will need all the necessary puppy training to be the best adult dog he can be.  In addition, as with all new dogs, he will need time to decompress and acclimate to a new home, people, and any new fur siblings he may have.  We do believe he will do well and add nothing but joy to any new home!     Applications for Tofu can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed. Story
adoption donation : $1199 weight 19lbs and 28 lbs Age: 3 years     Julia and Jerry showed up at a house in a rural area of northern Mississippi, emaciated annd badly matted, and were turned  away. The next day they showed up at another house and their luck changed—the couple that found them brought them inside and called Wags, 501(c) three south of Tupelo. Julia and Jerry are a beautiful loving pair, most likely used for breeding Yorkie- poo puppies, and then dumped when they were no longer needed.   Today this loving and sweet pair of dogs are happy and healthy, they have been vaccinated, spayed, and neutered, groomed, and are now at a normal weight. They were both tested for heartworm and thankfully were negative.  They are extremely bonded, Jerry, the male poodle, anxiously looks for Julia, the Yorkie, whenever she is out of sight and they are never happier than when they are cuddled up together. they are gentle dogs, fine with everyone they meet and good with other dogs and cats. They just are sweet, tail wagging, affectionate  dogs who truly love each other.      Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This scruffy, curly haired golden boy is TUCKER.  He is a poodle mix with something to make him a desired doodle.  His coat is long and he really needs to be groomed properly.  I cut the hair out of his eyes. Poor TUCKER was running the streets trying to survive on his own and just did not have a clue.  He was very happy to get in the car with the finder and be saved. He weighs 29 pounds and I am sure he will double in weight, he has a healthy appetite, just loves his food and treats but he has no aggression toward his food with other dogs or humans.  TUCKER is such a happy, jolly guy that he has no agression in any area. I have started crate training him and he is doing very well but cannot hold it that long right now, he does have to be taken out in the middle of the night until he gets the hang of it.  I use the word 'Potty' to go outside and he understands and I believe he equates that word with 'Play' because he happily bounces outside and play with the other foster dogs all of whom he gets along with.  I am working on the potty training and he still needs work, he is a puppy that has been on the streets for a while on his own. TUCKER is 5 1/2 months old and walks pretty good on the leash, he does not pull, just not sure which way to go but he will follow you.  He rides in the car well without geting sick. He would make a great playmate for another dog and another dog would have a great impact on training him as he follows the leader with activities.  He loves the water, likes to drink it a lot and play in it. If you are interested in adopting TUCKER, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         November 7, 2024, 5:10 am

Story
China is so intelligent and easy to love! She's a former working girl who was retired over the summer. The breeder states that she had two litters over the years China was in her care. Our rescue group worked with her on social skills and her anxiety about not being in a kennel on a daily basis. See, kennel life was all she knew and you could feel the vulnerbility she felt being exposed to the world without the protection of bars. She has acclimated well with the other dogs in the rescue loves the attention she gets from her foster mom.  This little girl has a spunky side to her. When she is happy she will race around the yard doing zoomies. It's quite a site to see when you witness the joy on her face as she embraces the freedom of the grass underneath her feet and the wind in her face. She also likes to go for car rides!  China loves to eat and eating treats is her absolute favorite past time. She is crate trained, so her routine is to play outside and when it is time to come in she goes right into her crate and waits for a snack. It's very easy to train her, since she is so food motivate. In spite of her love for food, she weighs only 32 pounds. A great size for apartment living, or a small house. She is also potty trained!  Optimally, it would be in China's best interest to go to a home with a relaxed environment. She responds favorably more to women than men, although she has she great improvement around our foster's husband. It is also important that applicants understand the importance of doodles being groomed about every 6 weeks and brushing them is important to their hygenic routine.  She is fully vetted and has been recently groomed. Her vetting includes: spay, microchipped, heart worm negative test, UTD on vaccinations.  Her adoption fee is $650 and this covers the cost of transport from Arkansas to New England.  ##2219993##
