Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! Sasha is an overweight poodle at 21 pounds and she should be more like 15 pounds.  She could really use an owner to help her lose weight and feel loved again.  She is 6 years old so no need to potty trained this young veteran.  Sasha came to me with another dog after their owner suddenly passed away from health problems.  She is dog and people friendly, walks well on the leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  Her companion was an overweight male chihuahua mix and they had been together a long time.  He has been placed already and now Sasha would love to be in a stable home.   If you are interested in adopting Sasha please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         November 7, 2024, 5:10 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This little guy SAMMY has been with me a while because he had cherry eyes in both eyes and needed surgery.  He still looks a little sluggish but his surgery to remove both cherry eyes went smoothly and he is healing with no problems.  There is NO daily maintenance for upkeep required on him. SAMMY is 3 years old and weighs 11.30 pounds.  He is leash trained and rides well in the car.  I call SAMMY the daddy of the group of dogs around here because he acts like everyone's loving dad.  Especially with the puppies, he cleans them and gently plays with them and he knows what he is doing because he plays a little rougher with the older/bigger dogs. He is a great dog with all of the dogs and if one does not play with him he will get in their face and bark at them for a moment until another dog comes along and plays with him SAMMY is very social and friendly with everyone he meets.  He was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX in horrible shape, simply horrible.  His mats were at least 10 months old and it took me 2 days to get them off.  Oh by the way he looks scruffy and a bit raggedly because I groomed (hacked) him myself so he could have his neuter surgery.  I did not have time to have him properly groomed before the surgery.  I will clean him up again in a few days and post new pictures of him. SAMMY would do best in a home with another dog that he can play with.  He would be bored bad being the only dog.  I do NOT have cats in my home so I do not know how he would do with cats and I do not have the ability to cat test him.  I know he was on the streets a long time surviving the best he could.  Since being in my house he has been a great houseguest and has given me no problems.   If you are interested in adopting SAMMY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Welcome SAMSON to our home.  This mellow guy is an owner surrender who came from a retired couple that are experiencing medical problems and unable to care for him any longer.  Although he is getting along with the foster dogs in my home he is accustomed to be the only dog in the home.  I think another mild mannered dog would be a good pet-mate for him or a home where he is the only dog. SAMSON is 4 years old and weighs a plump 31 pounds, he needs to lose about 5 pounds!  His former home gave him lots of human food and he is use to being spoiled with it.  SAMSON is mostly poodle with some Maltese in him which makes his hair straight in some places but mostly he is curly. The hair on his face is straight and a curly body.  He also has a cute speckled nose. He is happy and bounces around on his walks, he loves to go for walks and is very familiar with the car, he jumps right in and watches all of his surroundings. If you would like to adopt SAMSON please submit an application on the website below or you can call me.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This scruffy, curly haired golden boy is TUCKER.  He is a poodle mix with something to make him a desired doodle.  His coat is long and he really needs to be groomed properly.  I cut the hair out of his eyes. Poor TUCKER was running the streets trying to survive on his own and just did not have a clue.  He was very happy to get in the car with the finder and be saved. He weighs 29 pounds and I am sure he will double in weight, he has a healthy appetite, just loves his food and treats but he has no aggression toward his food with other dogs or humans.  TUCKER is such a happy, jolly guy that he has no agression in any area. I have started crate training him and he is doing very well but cannot hold it that long right now, he does have to be taken out in the middle of the night until he gets the hang of it.  I use the word 'Potty' to go outside and he understands and I believe he equates that word with 'Play' because he happily bounces outside and play with the other foster dogs all of whom he gets along with.  I am working on the potty training and he still needs work, he is a puppy that has been on the streets for a while on his own. TUCKER is 5 1/2 months old and walks pretty good on the leash, he does not pull, just not sure which way to go but he will follow you.  He rides in the car well without geting sick. He would make a great playmate for another dog and another dog would have a great impact on training him as he follows the leader with activities.  He loves the water, likes to drink it a lot and play in it. If you are interested in adopting TUCKER, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Meet Tripp, a special ~1 year old neutered male mini poodle, weighing about 10 lbs! Tripp does have a minor neurological disorder which causes him to walk funny (vet confirmed it is not something that can be fixed with meds or surgery). Despite this, he gets around just fine and is able to run and play with no issue! He manages carpeted stairs no problem, but he would probably need to be carried down uncarpeted stairs.  Tripp is a sweet, spunky little guy who gets along great with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, but we assume he would do ok with cats. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Tripp will be available at our Holiday Adoption Event on 12/1 at Petco in Dayville, CT. Submit your application now to be pre-approved! Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2237345##

There's a new girl in town, and my name is Maxine! I am this adorable gal of around 3 years who is as sweet as can be, and I'm looking for a family, a home...one to call my very own. I am an affectionate and playful pup that is looking for a forever home where I can get all the attention and lovins I've been craving. I am super friendly and love everyone I meet. No stranger out there for me! Our walks may take a little longer as I love to go and greet everyone. I do great with all people from tall to small, other pups and even those strange things y'all call a cat!
