Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Einstein (formerly Tiny) is making a return to MMAR bio written by adopted mom: Einstein is the sweetest little guy. He is very smart and very obedient. He loves to play fetch. He gets very possessive of his owners because he loves them so much. For this reason, he should be an only pet because he may become aggressive with other animals. Recently he was diagnosed with diabetes and is on insulin twice daily and a special diet. He is responding well to the insulin, but because of the diabetes, he sometimes can't hold his bladder while I am at work or overnight. Not to worry though, he is completely potty pad trained. I would keep him in a heartbeat, but he has been too aggressive towards my senior dog that I've had for 13 years and she is constantly on edge around him. I can't do that to her in her final years. He's such a goofy little love. I'm going to miss him.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.   Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.   Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.   MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.   If you would like to donate please send donation to: MMAR Box 180155 Utica, MI 48318   Donate online at https://www.sanilacscoopers.org/   Please email us at mmarpaws@gmail.com for additional information or to set up special appointments March 29, 2025, 6:47 am

Story
Bear is a 5-year-old, 11lb toy poodle with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. He’s been a cherished member of our family, but with a toddler at home and another baby on the way, we’ve come to the difficult decision that we can;t give him the time and attention he truly deserves. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle, play fetch, and soak up the sun in a cozy spot by the window. He has been gentle and patient with our one-year-old, but he thrives best in a home with adults or older children (middle school age and up). He enjoys playing with other dogs. However, he does not get along with cats. On walks, Bear tends to bark at other dogs;not out of aggression, but because he is eager to play! He also barks at the TV sometimes, especially if there are animals on the screen. Bear is partially house trained, but he still has occasional accidents indoors. With a bit more consistency and attention, this could improve.

Story
Meet Rocky! Rocky is the sweetest little scruffy guy you’ll ever meet! He loves playing with his furry friends and soaking up all the attention from his humans. Whether you're folding laundry or tidying up, Rocky is the ultimate supervisor—always nearby to lend moral support. Once the chores are done, he’s more than happy to curl up beside you for a well-earned snuggle. Rocky has previously lived with both cats and small dogs and got along just fine. Now, he’s searching for his forever family—could that be you?We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. June 12, 2025, 11:17 am
