Sylvester had a spa day! Now that he's had his medical needs taken care of and is all clean and clipped, he's feeling - and looking - so much better! He is also all set to start the search for his forever family. If you'd like to be that family, please fill out an application: https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved He's a young dog, only about 2 years old. Sylvester has lots of spunk. He does take a little bit of time to relax and feel comfortable with new people. Once he does, he's your pal for life. And now that he's feeling better physically, it doesn't take all that long at all. Sylvester is friendly with other friendly dogs and is living with cats and doing fine with them. He'd like an adult home, or one with children 16+ years old. He is a playful pup who enjoys walks and would love a yard where he can run around. Let's find this good boy a home quickly!

Story
Hi, I’m Munchkin, and yes, I am just as cute as my name! I’m a 4–5-year-old Mini Poodle with a soft heart and a curious spirit. I’m about 15 pounds of sweetness, still learning that the world can be kind and safe. I can be a little timid at first, but I’m not shut down — just taking things in, figuring out who I can trust. I enjoy attention, even if I’m a little shy about asking for it. Once I know you’re kind, I’ll start inching closer, looking for the affection I secretly love. I get along well with other dogs so if you already have a four-legged friend at home, I’d be happy to join. I have been dreaming of finding a forever family so I’m hoping that’s you! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Beautiful Bella and her dad, Eli, were rescued from lives as working dogs for a breeder who treated them as property. Poor Bella had been bred so many times during her eight years of life that her insides were severely swollen and infected. Critter Cavalry arrived just in time to save her from a painful death.  Bella is now happy and healthy as she slowly adjusts to life as a pet. She is a very smart girl who just wants to be near you. While she is not needy, she is keenly aware of where her foster mom is and likes to see her. Bella has learned to use the doggie door and is now housebroken. This process was easy for her because she follows her foster mom everywhere.  The most challenging hurdle Bella has faced so far has been discovering the freedom of the outdoors, along with the sensation of soft grass beneath her feet, which felt strange at first compared to the concrete she was used to. Learning to sleep with her foster mom was extremely easy for her; she thrives on the closeness and warmth. Bella will be a loyal companion for the right family. She needs a quiet, loving home where she feels safe and is treated with patience and understanding. At eight years old, Bella is not old for a poodle—she has a lot of life left to live and much untapped love waiting to be shared with her new family. (Please note: no small children.) If you are interested in considering Bella as a permanent member of your family and would like to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. An approved application and adoption fee are required. Bella is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.November 7, 2025, 4:19 pm
