Story
Mabel (6 years old) is the sweetest girl. She is a mini bernedoodle with a fluffy coat when she grows it out. She loves to cuddle and being around her people all day long. She does well in a crate when needed, car rides, being around other dogs, being around kids and is house trained. I think she would do best being either the only dog or one of two dogs in a household. I have a teenage daughter and a newborn baby and a house full of dogs that I know I am not able to give the love and attention to that they deserve. I am very spread thin with my new baby and work and the declining health of my father. My heart breaks at the thought of them not being in my home anymore, but I know it is the best thing for them.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Welcome Macy to DASH! Macy came to DASH from a rural shelter in southern Ohio and is currently in our DASH Prison Program where she is working on learning her basic commands, crate training, socialization skills. This girl is so sweet and friendly, loves meeting new people and dogs. She is housebroken in the prison setting and loves to run and play. She hasn't mastered all of her commands, so her new family will need to continue to help her with those. She walks well on a leash. Her one quirk is that she has decided that getting into the trash is a favorite past time, and while her handler is working with her to learn trash is not something to play in, her new family will need to be aware of this and make sure that she cannot have access to trash of any kind. She has not been kid or cat tested, so proper introductions would be needed for both. She is just a goofy, loveable girl who is ready to find her perfect person or family. Story
Meet Daisie! She is a 1 and a half year old chocolate poodle, weighing 18 pounds. She is sweet and still a puppy. She is house trained and crate trained, but may not need the crate. She has a bit too much of an interest in cats, so no cats please. She does okay with dogs; although, she may not speak dog. The foster jokes she speaks human instead of dog.  Aside from her jumping up and being a bit mouthy, she does good with children.  She is smart and with some training will be the best girl. She has the poodle hair so is perfect for people that are allergic, but will require grooming quite often. Look deep in those eyes and you can’t resist.  Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start June 8, 2026, 9:40 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dexter If you are looking for a dog with a huge personality, endless entertainment value, and a whole lot of love to give, Dexter may just be your perfect match! Dexter is a playful, energetic little guy who absolutely loves life. Whether he is racing around the backyard doing zoomies, playing with his dog friends, or proudly sneaking a sock out of the laundry basket, he keeps everyone around him laughing. He is smart, curious, and full of quirky charm — including the adorable head tilt he gives when you talk to him like he understands every word. While Dexter has plenty of energy and would thrive in an active home, he also has a sweet snuggly side. At the end of the day, he is happiest curled up with his people, especially if he can burrow under the covers for bedtime cuddles. Dexter would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard or an adopter committed to giving him plenty of exercise through walks, runs, and playtime. He absolutely loves other playful dogs and really enjoys having canine companions to romp around with. He also enjoys people of all ages and has done well with older children. Because he is still learning some manners and can get excited, a home with very young children may need a little extra supervision and continued training. He does well when kept on a schedule and is continuing to learn appropriate toys versus “treasures” he finds around the house. Dexter is eager to please, very smart, and does wonderfully for grooming. With continued structure and basic training, he is going to make an incredible companion. Dexter is looking for a family that will embrace his fun-loving spirit, keep him active, and include him as part of the family. In return, he promises plenty of laughs, endless affection, and a best friend who will keep life exciting. Dexter’s adoption donation is $575. He is fostered in Central Ohio and is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm and flea prevention.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  June 8, 2026, 8:48 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sloane – Tiny Girl, Big Personality! If you’re looking for a fun-loving little sidekick who brings smiles, laughter, and endless charm, Sloane may just be your perfect match! This adorable 5-year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle mix has blossomed beautifully in rescue and is now ready to find a forever family of her own. Sloane came to us from a hoarding situation alongside several other dogs, but despite her past, she has embraced the good life with enthusiasm. She has discovered how wonderful it is to simply be a dog — playing with toys, exploring the outdoors, soaking up attention, and showing off her goofy, adventurous personality. Watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, and now she’s ready for the next chapter of her journey. This sweet girl is happiest when she has a toy nearby and a canine companion to share life with. Sloane absolutely needs another friendly, playful dog in her forever home to help continue building her confidence and to give her the companionship she thrives on. She also does well with cats and enjoys being part of the action around her. Sloane would love a home that appreciates her playful spirit and gives her opportunities to enjoy the outdoors safely. A securely fenced yard is required for this adventurous little lady, as she truly enjoys exploring, playing, and staying active outside. She would do best in a home that can match her moderate activity level and continue engaging both her playful and affectionate sides. She does well when kept on a consistent schedule and continues to thrive with routine and encouragement. Like many dogs adjusting to a new home, she will need patience and understanding as she transitions into her forever family. Sloane’s ideal home will enjoy an active, interactive lifestyle with their dogs and embrace her joyful personality, silly antics, and love of toys. She is looking for a family ready to include her in daily activities, playtime, companionship, and adventures with her canine buddy by her side. Sloane’s adoption donation is $500. She is being fostered in Central Ohio and is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella, and bivalent canine influenza vaccines, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog.
