Sylvie is a 1-year-5-month-old miniature poodle mix we adopted from the Brandywine SPCA after she was found in Delaware. She’s a shaggy, sweet, and affectionate pup who takes a little time to warm up but once she does, she’s all love and play. Sylvie is full of puppy energy! She loves playing with her toys, chewing bones, going for walks, and exploring the park. She enjoys being outside and absolutely loves breakfast and dinner time. She’s been wonderful with our cats most of the time, though her playful energy sometimes makes her want to chase them. Around new people and dogs, Sylvie can be shy or nervous at first, but with patience she opens up and becomes very playful and loving. She knows basic commands like sit, shake, and lay down, but will benefit from continued training and consistency. Sylvie would thrive in a home with an active and present person or family. We would like to see her go to a loving, experienced, and responsible home ready for a puppy.

Meet Iggy — Your New Little Shadow with a Big Personality! Iggy is an approx 5-year-old male mini poodle (about 15 lbs) who was found as a stray in Philadelphia, and sadly no one was looking for him or ever came for him.  He came into rescue matted and dirty, but he is such a sweet boy and his personality has started to shine.   This sweet boy is: Good with other dogs Good with cats Unsure about young kids (older, respectful children may be best!) Iggy is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly — he loves being outside, enjoys his walks, and has that fun, energetic sparkle… but once he gets his wiggles out, he’s happiest curled up right next to you for cuddles. He also does great with: Cuddling Treats & pets Puppy pads Sleeping all night in his crate Important note: Iggy will growl at other dogs sometimes when they come near his food, but his foster feeds him separately from the other dogs, and this simple routine works well. He does not do this with humans through.  He would do well as an only dog or with another calm dog, and is living with other dogs in his foster home.   A fenced-in yard is strongly preferred.  We do not recommend an apartment/condo — Iggy can bark when he’s excited or when he wants you close for attention (because he LOVES his people!).
