Meet Penny! Penny is a mini poodle mix who is looking for her loving forever home. She was surrendered by her previous owners to Husky House and seems to have unfortunately been mistreated by the children she used to live with. As such, Penny would do best in an adult only home. Penny can be nervous around new people at first but warms up with time, especially if you take her on walks (her favorite thing!). Cilantro was one of the most badly matted dogs we have ever taken into rescue. He was found roaming the streets and was in sorry shape, indeed! Along with the matting of his coat, our vet discovered that he had a major hernia, which was immediately removed. A Doodle mix, he is about 2 years old and weighs 53 pounds. Now he's a happy, happy boy who is super sweet, a real cuddle bug who loves toys and going on walks. In fact, he's a real social butterfly! Hi! My name is Billy and I am looking for a forever home. I was part of an operation to rescue over 80 small dogs in order to put a backyard breeder out of operation as we were not being very well taken care of. One of those rescues reached out to BCAA to see if they could help some of us and they said yes ... yeah! We were all pretty scared when we first came into foster but everyone has been so nice to us and with some TLC and time, we are slowly coming out of our shells. I would love to find a quiet home, maybe with a friend or two to help me learn the ropes. I appear to be a poodle mix, but no one is sure what with (my hair is that of a poodle so I might be what they call hypoallergenic). I weigh a little over 15lbs and at around 6years old, I shouldn't get any bigger and I'm past all of that puppy foolishness. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and haven't bothered those things called cats. I have done well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding. I have never had a leash on before & even though I have been able to take a couple of steps with one on, they do scare me so I will need a physically fenced yard in order to take care of my business. His walk seemed a bit unusual, and further exams revealed issues with both hips and his patella. He underwent surgery in September–October, and he’s now almost fully recovered — a brave boy!
