kidney food and thyroid medicineMeet Snoopy A Friendly, Gentle Gentleman Ready for His Forever Home Breed: Poodle Gender: Male | Age: 09/10/2018 | Weight/Size: 18 lbs (Small) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: ❤️ Friendly | Loving | Sweet | Gentle Medical: ✔️ Neutered | ✔️ Vaccinations Up to Date Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Snoopy is a sweet 8-year-old Poodle weighing approximately 18 pounds. This friendly little gentleman is looking for a loving family and a comfortable home where he can enjoy the next chapter of his life. Snoopy is friendly with other dogs and good with children. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown. At eight years old, Snoopy has the wonderful qualities that often come with a mature dog. He's past the demanding puppy stage, but he still needs companionship, exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to enjoy life with his people. Poodles are known for being intelligent, affectionate, people-oriented, and highly trainable. They often develop strong bonds with their families and enjoy being included in daily activities. Snoopy may be just as happy joining his family for a neighborhood walk as he is settling in nearby for some quiet time together. His future family should provide: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks and appropriate exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Positive-reinforcement training Regular grooming and brushing Consistent household routines Comfortable places to rest Continued veterinary care A safe indoor home A lifelong commitment Poodle coats require regular grooming and maintenance to prevent painful mats and keep the skin and coat healthy. His adopter should be prepared for routine brushing and professional grooming throughout his life. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Even though Snoopy is eight years old, moving into a new home is still a major transition. He should be given time to become comfortable with his new people, surroundings, and routine. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, and even dogs who previously had good household manners may need reminders after a major change. His family should be prepared to reinforce: House training as needed Leash manners Basic commands Household boundaries Calm and consistent routines Comfortable handling and grooming Positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency will help Snoopy understand what is expected of him while building trust with his new family. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home Snoopy shouldn't be rushed. Give him the opportunity to settle in at his own pace and discover that his new home is a safe place where he belongs. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Snoopy is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. At eight years old, he's entering his senior years, making preventative veterinary care increasingly important. His future family should work with their veterinarian to establish an appropriate wellness plan for him. His ongoing care should include: Regular veterinary wellness examinations Senior wellness exams and bloodwork as recommended Recommended vaccinations and boosters Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental examinations and dental care Quality nutrition and healthy weight management Daily exercise appropriate for his age Regular professional grooming and brushing Nail and ear care Monitoring for changes in mobility, vision, hearing, appetite, or behavior Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe and comfortable indoor home Older dogs can still have many wonderful years ahead of them. Keeping Snoopy active, lean, mentally engaged, and medically well cared for will help him enjoy those years to the fullest. Snoopy may be eight years old, but love doesn't have an expiration date. He's a friendly, sweet little gentleman who deserves to spend the years ahead knowing exactly where he belongs. Give Snoopy his forever home, and you'll gain a loyal companion who's ready to make himself part of the family.October 7, 2026, 10:25 am

Story
Meet Pixie! ✨ Pixie is a tiny, white Maltese mix, about 2 years old, and her petite 9 lbs fit into a doggie purse. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and sensitive.Other dogs bring out her social Tinkerbell! ‍♀️ She is especially drawn to confident pups with a nurturing, take-charge “mother hen” personality and may pair well with a little canine Fairy Godmother who can show her th. at the world is a wonderful place. Or perhaps her Prince Charming has four paws and a wagging tail! ✨ Regardless, when she is with her peeps, she is playful and chases, rolls around, and follows her favorite pup! She isn’t particularly interested in toys, but give her a furry playmate and she’s ready to party! With people, Pixie is cautious, timid, and highly alert to her surroundings. She is docile, can be nervous and easily startled, and is still learning that humans are not villains. She needs someone who will give her the space and patience to build trust at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her cuddles shine through, and she will happily drift off into Neverland for hours by your side. Pixie is still learning the basics. She is not yet house trained and is working on leash skills. She decides the best way to handle a leash is to chew through it. And she’s quick! Her teeth can magically make a leash disappear in no time, so a chew-proof leash will be essential while she’s learning. Who needs a leash when you’d much rather be transported in your carriage anyway? Pixie is also practicing coming inside and working on basic commands, but this will take time. A magic carpet or the twinkle of her nose would probably make much more sense to Pixie. ✨Pixie may flourish in a calm home with a kind, dominant dog who can help show her the ropes. She is fine with cats, and we’re not yet sure how she is with children. This little princess will need a patient adopter who is ready to give her the consistency, kindness, and guidance she needs to blossom. She may be petite and adorable, but she is still discovering the world, and her new family will help her grow into her full potential. If you’re looking to rescue a little damsel in distress, perhaps she’s destined to encounter your love. All she needs is someone willing to sprinkle a little pixie dust into her life and give this sweet girl the safe, loving future she deserves—and her very own happily ever after. ✨Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Ruben Humphrey!Ruben Humphrey is an almost 7-year-old Poodle/Terrier mix weighing just 14 pounds. With his soft white coat, curly tail, and joyful personality, this little guy is ready to find the person he's been waiting for.Ruben is incredibly affectionate once he trusts you. He lights up when he sees his favorite people, loves to cuddle, and happily follows his person from room to room. He's a smart, curious dog who enjoys puzzle toys, sniffing adventures, and daily walks. His happy little zig-zag trot makes every outing an adventure!Since joining his foster family after arriving as a stray, Ruben has become a totally different dog. He started out as fearful and reactive and now he's a happy and curious dog. He successfully completed a professional training program and has worked hard on building confidence, learning good manners, and overcoming resource guarding. He thrives with consistent routines, clear boundaries, and positive reinforcement.Ruben is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and dogs thrive with structure. He can be nervous in new situations and has a bite history with both people and dogs when he becomes overwhelmed. His adopter should be committed to continuing his training and helping him navigate the world with confidence. Ruben loves his people so much that he can exhibit separation anxiety. Crating, lots of physical and mental exercise each day make a world of difference for him. He will never turn down a walk, in fact, he's positive that the more walks, the better!Once he settles in, Ruben is a loving, loyal companion who forms deep bonds with his people. He enjoys playing with his foster dog siblings after patient and structured introductions he would do well with a calm, confident canine companion. He would do best in a home with adults. He has not been formally tested with cats.If you're looking for a devoted little companion and are excited to continue helping a deserving dog thrive, Ruben Humphrey may be your perfect match.Turns out there IS honor among thieves! Meet Rocky ❤️ Three Little Paws, One Very Big Heart—Rocky Is Ready for His Forever Family Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Poodle Mix Gender: Male | Age: 6 years old | Weight/Size: 28 lbs (Small-Medium) Special Feature: Rocky has three legs Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: ❤️ Very Loving | Gentle | Sweet-Natured | Affectionate Medical: ✔️ Neutered | ✔️ Vaccinated Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Rocky is a special Jack Russell Terrier / Poodle mix weighing approximately 26 pounds. This handsome boy may have only three legs, but he certainly isn't missing any love to give. Rocky is described as incredibly loving and noble, with a gentle and sweet nature. He's friendly with other dogs and good with children, making him a wonderful candidate for many different types of families. Being a three-legged dog doesn't mean Rocky can't enjoy a happy, active, and fulfilling life. Many tripod dogs adapt remarkably well and enjoy walks, exploring, playtime, and everyday family activities. His family simply needs to be thoughtful about his individual mobility and physical needs. Rocky's Jack Russell Terrier and Poodle heritage makes for a fun combination. Both breeds are known for being intelligent and highly trainable. Jack Russells tend to be lively, curious, playful, and adventurous, while Poodles are often affectionate, people-oriented, clever, and eager to learn. Rocky will benefit from activities that engage both his mind and body, while keeping his exercise appropriate for a three-legged dog. His ideal family will provide: Plenty of love and human companionship Daily exercise appropriate for his mobility Mental stimulation and interactive toys Positive-reinforcement training Continued socialization Comfortable places to rest A safe environment with good traction Regular grooming and coat maintenance Healthy weight management A secure indoor home where he's part of the family A lifelong commitment Most importantly, Rocky needs someone who sees the wonderful dog he is—not the leg he doesn't have. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Rocky's future family should allow him time to become comfortable with his new surroundings and learn the household routine. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be prepared to continue working on house training, leash manners, basic commands, boundaries, and household routines as needed. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home Because Rocky has three legs, his adopter should also pay attention to his physical comfort. Non-slip flooring, maintaining a lean and healthy weight, limiting unnecessary jumping, and providing appropriate exercise can help reduce excess stress on his remaining limbs and joints. Rocky doesn't need to be treated as fragile. He simply needs a family willing to understand his body and help him stay comfortable and active. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Rocky is already neutered and vaccinated. Because tripod dogs place additional demands on their remaining limbs, maintaining Rocky at a healthy weight will be particularly important throughout his life. His future family should provide: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Recommended vaccinations and boosters Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental care Regular brushing and professional grooming as needed Quality nutrition and healthy weight management Exercise appropriate for his mobility Monitoring of his remaining legs, joints, and overall movement Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive-reinforcement training Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe and comfortable indoor home If Rocky ever develops changes in his movement, activity level, or comfort, his family should have him evaluated by a veterinarian rather than assuming the change is simply related to being a tripod. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Rocky, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to helping deserving dogs find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Rocky may walk through life on three paws, but he has every bit as much love, personality, and joy to give as any other dog. He's loving, gentle, dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and ready for someone to see just how special he is. Rocky isn't looking for sympathy—he's looking for his family. ❤️October 7, 2026, 10:25 am
