Story
This is our cuddler Jackie, she is a white 7 yrs old, miniature poodle 17.6 pounds, who loves to play with our 16 # dog or chase her toys for entertainment! She gets along great with our dogs  & visiting dogs, she sleeps in a crate, but  will quickly join you if jnvited on the bed. Barks at delivery trucks or visitors however is quickly learning “Enough”…shush when we want her to settle down.  She has learned to use a doggie door & has not had any accidents in the house. UTD on vaccines & spayed. Not real fond of car rides yet; her elderly owner, did not go out much- but she IS improving in the car. So Jackie is looking for a new family to love 💕!    children & cats have not been  in her life that we know of - so that is still a mystrey. If you would like to meet this little girl please go to happytailshappyhomes.org to fill out an application so we can arrange for you to meet her.

Story
from her foster family 3/8/26: Our girl Jillie prefers someone who is home most of the time - she gets anxious without her people & will bark. However we have found if we tell her go to bed & cover her crate she is quiet & settles down & sleeps - we keep this to a minimum , few hrs a week. She needs her people! If you want a walking buddy / snuggle bug; Jillie may be your next family member ! She is a white/apricot miniature poodle 9 years young, @15 pounds, UTD on vaccines, spayed, and recently groomed -however a bit underweight. Sadly her elderly owner’s health had declined over the past year & she was not well taken care of; but she was surrendered to HTHH & things started improving; she had a complete dental done & she is eating lots of good food now & has gained some weight back; & is fostering with 3 other dogs. But she does gets jealous & growls when our other dogs are being pet or scratched…..’definitely does not like other dogs in HER space’!. We think she may want to be the ONLY dog ! She has good house manners, she generally goes to the door when she needs to go out for potty, but sometimes- if you dont notice her, she has an accident. After much encouragement she has finally started using the doggie door! Walks great on leash, is crate trained, currently sleeps in her crate; but loves to jump up onto the bed to snuggle &/or sleep - YOUR choice- she minds when told “OFF”. Also is learning command “ENOUGH” shush…. when she barks when deliveries or visitors come to the door. Jillie enjoys the visitors & sits up next to them hoping for their attention. She is rather anxious when riding in car so we utilize CBD oil or 1/2 trazodone when we head to the vets [it’s an hr drive for us]. We DO NOT know how she is with children nor with cats; her owners did not have either. If you would like to meet this cute cuddle bug go to happytailshappyhomes.org. Fill in our application so we can arrange a meet and greet.

Story
Imagine if a tiny cloud grew legs, developed a personality, and decided its life mission was to follow you around spreading joy and looking impossibly adorable at all times. That’s Marley Mac. With his ridiculously cute fluffy face, perfectly scruffy little beard, and eyes full of gentle sweet love, he looks like a retired wizard who gave up spellcasting to specialize in cuddles instead. One look at him and you’ll immediately understand why people stop mid-sentence just to say, “OH MY GOSH, LOOK AT HIS FACE.” Fair warning: prolonged exposure may result in excessive smiling, uncontrollable baby talk, and a sudden desire to rearrange your entire life around this tiny bearded legend. Watch his video and fall in love with this little cutie: https://youtu.be/wyn-Ridwv9s?si=KmoeBwbAp5sp6woO Marley Mac is believed to be a Miniature Poodle/Shih Tzu mix approximately 9 years old and currently weighs 14 lbs. Don’t let his age fool you though. Yes, he is an older fella but believe us when we say this little guy still has the youth of a youngster and has a personality that shines. His personality is so infectious that he can make even big dog lovers fall head over heels for him. Marley is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Marley is all about affection and spoiling you with his gentle love. He truly shines as a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to his person, soaking in love and giving it right back. His energy level is beautifully balanced. Not too busy and not too sleepy. Just the right amount of energy, the kind of pup who fits perfectly into your routine. He enjoys getting out for walks (and walks nicely on a leash!) but is just as content relaxing at home snuggled up next to you on the couch binge watching your favorite show or movie. He’s dog-friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced him to. He has met dogs his size and smaller and has also been around dogs twice his size! No matter the size, Marley has shown himself to be a polite, gentle gentleman when he meets a dog on leash and shows that same level of gentleness when meeting dogs off leash. He isn’t a super playful boy for the most part, but when he does play he has a very light-hearted, bouncy playstyle that isn’t too physical. He is so cute when he is trying to get another dog to play because he does the cutest little play bows and will talk about it with a tiny little bark to get the other dog to join him. Marley is also good about respecting other dogs that do not want to play. If you don’t have other dogs, that’s fine by Marley too! He does not need the company of another dog to satisfy his energy needs or a pal to help him feel comfortable. He is a natural social butterfly and would love to be the center of your attention. Marley also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Marley has the kind of easygoing personality that allows him to thrive in many living situations. He would do very well in an apartment or condo setting, especially with someone who enjoys daily walks and a relaxed routine. His well-balanced energy level and polite leash manners make him a great neighbor-friendly companion. He would also be perfectly happy in a suburban home with a backyard, where he could enjoy sniffing around, sunbathing, and lounging after his walks. While he’d appreciate outdoor access, he doesn’t rely on a yard to be fulfilled; his happiness comes from companionship, not square footage. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who bonds deeply, loves cuddles, and brings a steady, comforting presence into your life, Marley may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. We are willing to test Marley Mac with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.

Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 5 year old, 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding at the shelter but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He was recently introduced to odor detection work and his trainer said he was a natural. He catches on to new commands quickly and would love someone to work with. Ramen would do best in an adult only household. He sometimes takes time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age. Ramen has had a lot of interest from families wanting a lap dog; he prefers to show affection through play and is not a couch potato. Ramen needs an experienced owner who comfortable addressing his guarding behaviors, willing to continue exercising his body and his mind, and able to commit to regular grooming. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. Ramen's adoption also includes take home training and support from Nirvana K9 Training. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Description Hi! My name is Pumpkin, and I came all the way from South Korea in hopes of finding my forever home. I am a 6-year-old Poodle boy and weigh about 8 lbs — small, gentle, and full of love to give. (My age and weight are estimated.) I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, and now I’m ready for a new chapter filled with safety, kindness, and care. After everything I’ve been through, I’m so excited to finally have a family to call my own. So far, I have not shown any issues with other dogs, children, or people — but every dog may respond differently when settling into a new home. Adoption Details My adoption fee of $1,595 is a non-refundable donation that helps save the lives of other dogs in need. It covers my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, boarding fees, health certificate, and transport costs from South Korea to Seattle. A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you can bring your own when adopting or purchase one from us. Please note: We do not guarantee breed or age, as both are best estimates. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and every adoption fee goes directly toward rescuing more dogs just like me. Thank you for choosing rescue. March 7, 2026, 8:59 pm
