Story
**A Tail of Two Boy Puppies** Devon and Matteo are two brothers looking for their forever homes. UPDATE: Matteo has been adopted. Devon (The dark chocolate coat) is available. He does need another dog in the home for mentoring and to have a buddy, as he has always been a part of a dog pack These boys were born at the rescue after their mom was rescued while pregnant. They have already faced a few challenges, including being bottle-fed after their mom ran out of milk early and overcoming Parvo at eight weeks old. Now, the boys are healthy. They eat well and love attention, fresh air, and sunshine. They turn four months old on June 8.  Because they have been handled since birth, both boys are very well socialized and extremely loving. They are shy when meeting new people. Once held, they love to stay close and be wherever their human is. Devon is shorter and has a chocolate-colored coat. He has a very outgoing and excellent personality Devon will do best in a home with at least one person who works from home or is retired. He needs another dog in the home for mentoring and friendship.  These are some of the sweetest puppies we have raised, thanks to all the early handling they received. Hershey (Momma’s brother) was given a DNA test. These pups are quite the mixed-breed mutts. Their dominant breeds seem to be the Poodle and the Dachshund. They also have a super mutt mix of Terrier,/Pug/Maltese/German shepherd/, Miniature Pinscher, and a host of other small percentages of breeds. The brother's dominant look is that of a Poodle-Dachshund mix. If you are interested in adopting Devon and giving him a forever home, please reach out to us for more information or to arrange a visit. Your new best friend could be waiting for you! The adoption fee is $495.00. Devon is being fed Human-Grade dog food. We will share feeding and training tips.  www.smallpupsrescue.org June 15, 2026, 4:10 pm

Story
Jilli is a beautiful 9 year young Mini Poodle, white/apricot. She prefers someone who is home lots of the time; because she does get attached to her people ! However if you need to go out for a few hours, tell her go to bed [to her crate, then cover it & she is quiet & settles down] BUT we only do this a few hrs a week. She is UTD on vaccines, spayed, had a recent complete dental done, so she is now putting on some weight. She eats Hills Kidney Care kibble w/ a little can food topper or cut up chicken. Here in her foster home she has gotten along with 2 other dogs but we think she would prefer to be an ONLY CHILD ;). She has good house manners, goes to the door when she needs to go out and walks quietly on her leash. Recently she has been trying to use a doggie door - still a bit leery of it patting her bum on her way in or out-poor baby. Please keep in mind Jilli is a cuddle bug, she loves to sit right next to you on the sofa or in your chair if she can squeeze in, yet she sleeps comfortably in a crate or dog bed OR in up On the bed if she’s invited. YOUR choice ! She comes when called knows the command “OFF” and is learning “ENOUGH” shush…. when she barks at deliveries or visitors coming to the door. She does enjoy the visitors once they are inside & she meets them. This girl is still a little anxious when riding in our van so we utilize CBD oil when we head to the Vets [it’s an hour drive for us]. We DO NOT know how she is with children; however the cat she has been around she has ignored ! If you would like to meet this cute cuddle bug go to: happytailshappyhomes.org. Fill in Our application so we can arrange a meet and greet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi… I’m Ned. Have you ever wanted a Golden Doodle, but smaller? I look just that! Please read my bio thoroughly. Only available for adoption in Texas. I’m a quiet, gentle guy with a really soft heart. I came here with a few of my companions through a transfer, and I’ll be honest—I’m still learning that the world can be a safe and kind place. I haven’t always had that, so it takes me a little time to trust new people. At first, I might hang back and just watch. I need someone very patient who will let me go at my own pace and not rush me. I need someone who can understand it may take a long time for me to become comfortable around humans, as I have had a rough beginning to life. I will try to run away from you. But I am not aggressive, or have ever tried to bite.  With me being scared, I need you to understand that I will need patience with going outside. I will try to run away, so keep me on a harness until I learn coming back inside on my own is okay. I do feel more confident around other dogs, so a home with another canine is a must. They can help show me that life isn't so bad. I am unsure how I do with cats. Older considerate kids only.  Due to my breed, I’ll also need regular grooming, but I’ve been very good for it here. Each time I will even relax in someone’s lap while they are taking care of me… I think that shows I do want to trust—I just need a little time to get there. I do want to be upfront about my health—I’m heartworm positive right now, but I’ve already started treatment. I’ve been on antibiotics and am going through the ProHeart 12 protocol approved by the American Heartworm Society. The good news is that with this treatment, I should test negative in about 8–10 months. I’m neutered, up to date on all my vaccines and prevention, and microchipped, so I’m ready when the right person comes along. My adoption fee is $400. If you think you might be my person, you can apply at www.adoggie4you.org. Due to me being scared and nervous, I am not an option for out-of-state transport, and must remain in Texas. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 16, 2026, 4:30 pm

Story
Meet Lumi! This adorable approximately 3.5-year-old Poodle mix is packed full of personality, affection, and fun. Lumi is the perfect combination of playful companion and cuddle buddy. He believes in giving 100% effort to everything he does, whether that's wrestling with his dog friends, exploring the yard, or snuggling up for a well-earned nap. Lumi is a social little guy who loves playing with other dogs, especially those his own size. He would thrive in a home with a canine companion who enjoys a good game of chase or wrestling. Despite his enthusiasm, Lumi is a gentleman and takes corrections well from other dogs, especially the ladies. When playtime is over, Lumi transforms into a total lovebug. He adores people and is happiest when he's close to his humans soaking up attention, belly rubs, and cuddles. His friendly, outgoing personality makes him a joy to have around. Lumi is also cat-friendly and has several good house manners already in place. He knows how to use a doggy door, is crate trained, and appreciates a soft, cozy dog bed where he can recharge after a busy day of fun. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Iona! Iona is an adorable poodle mix who looks very much like a mini Labradoodle. Since coming into rescue, Iona has been an easy dog to have around. She's calm, gentle, and quiet, with just enough playfulness to keep things fun. She seems content to go with the flow, and gets along well with every dog she meets. While we have not tested her with cats, but her calm and gentle personality leads us to believe she would likely do well with respectful kids. Iona is fully vetted and ready for adoption. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, current on ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention, and current on Bravecto flea and tick prevention. Iona's adoption fee is $500.
