He still isn't comfortable with much handling, and he's hoping his new family can be patient with him as he learns to trust. We adopt out to homes around WA state & Oregon but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal. ZaiZai has been to hell & back & yet he still loves humans. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. We cannot even begin to imagine what ZaiZai witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. How ZaiZai ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. He then ended up staying at the rescuers base the whole time until we rescued him. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued ZaiZai & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting ZaiZai out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as ZaiZai & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now ZaiZai is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. ZaiZai was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. ZaiZai was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. ZaiZai is a wonderful soul inside & out. He is a very gentle patient little soul. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a very sweet little guy & transitioned quite quickly even with the change in language. His foster mum & dad said he is just so lovely & can jump on the couch to cuddle either you & will follow the other dogs around but is independent as well. He is smart & can run up & down hardwood stairs. He will also want to cuddle in bed with you & will jump on the bed to sleep with you. He now loves to run & play with his foster siblings at first he had no clue what to do & must go to a home with a dog who wants to play. He loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on him. ZaiZai eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. He is absolutely obsessed with his food & we can’t stress that enough. We believe that for a long time his food was restricted. We have been teaching him to share out of the same bowl but that is still a work in progress. All of his treats are homemade ZaiZai has not been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. ZaiZai is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. ZaiZai adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to ZaiZai & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He now loves his toys in his foster home. ZaiZai has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With ZaiZai we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He does not like crates especially after everything he has been through. We are also looking for a forever home for ZaiZai where someone is home during the day or ZaiZai can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit too. ZaiZai is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. ZaiZai has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company in his loving foster home. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for ZaiZai’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. ZaiZai is now roughly 16.8 lbs & just turned 2 years old & a miniture poodle & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on ZaiZai with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. ZaiZai has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had ZaiZai with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when ZaiZai was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & ZaiZai’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is ZaiZai potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting ZaiZai & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for ZaiZai who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. ZaiZai has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Meet Henri! Henri is a big teddy bear who loves to cuddle.  He really enjoys getting attention from his people, snuggling up on the couch or just lounging in a doggy bed.  He also really enjoys going for walks in the neighborhood and exploring all the smells in the backyard.  He gets along well with other friendly dogs and seems to follow another confident dog, so not the dominant type.  As he is coming out of his shell he is showing an interest in playing with toys and other friendly dogs.   Henri is house trained, not a single accident in his foster home.  He is given regular potty breaks and takes care of business on his walks.  He is not a fan of being crated but does sleep quietly in a metal crate at night.  He whined when we first tried a plastic crate with less visibility.  He's a little nervous, whiny  about riding in the car, but settles down after several minutes.  He hasn't been tested with cats, but definitely notices and shows interest in squirrels and birds when out on walks, so may have potential for chasing smaller animals.   He has not been tested with kids yet, but so far has been friendly to everyone he meets after appropriate introductions.  Henri prefers to be with his people rather than left home alone.  He will vocalize his excitement after his people return home.  He is mostly quiet and chill at home but will join the other dogs if they start barking.  He is also good about redirection.  He is really good with the 'Sit' command and is learning "off" and "down".  We have been working on keeping four paws on the floor to get attention as he tends to jump or put his paws on people to express his desire for attention.  He enjoys getting treats so this is good motivation for further training.  He is such a love chop and will fit in well in a home where there is someone home more often than not and would likely enjoy the company of another friendly canine companion.  Henri will also need regular grooming as he has the poodle type of fur that needs to be trimmed. Henri is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Simon is a sweet poodle. He is a young guy. He is great on leash and loves to play with his poodle buddies.He and his pals came into the shelter very matted. Their previous owners had not been able to adequately groom or care for them.

Alvin is the ultimate snuggle bug. This pup loves to play with his friends and snuggle with his people. He and Simon and Theadora were brought in as strays. Their original owner was not able to care for them or groom them. They were left outside most of the day.Alvin has some medical issues that cause him pain when walking. He would love to just have a lap to snuggle on.
