Story
Imagine if a tiny cloud grew legs, developed a personality, and decided its life mission was to follow you around spreading joy and looking impossibly adorable at all times. That’s Marley Mac. With his ridiculously cute fluffy face, perfectly scruffy little beard, and eyes full of gentle sweet love, he looks like a retired wizard who gave up spellcasting to specialize in cuddles instead. One look at him and you’ll immediately understand why people stop mid-sentence just to say, “OH MY GOSH, LOOK AT HIS FACE.” Fair warning: prolonged exposure may result in excessive smiling, uncontrollable baby talk, and a sudden desire to rearrange your entire life around this tiny bearded legend. Watch his video and fall in love with this little cutie: https://youtu.be/wyn-Ridwv9s?si=KmoeBwbAp5sp6woO Marley Mac is believed to be a Miniature Poodle/Shih Tzu mix approximately 9 years old and currently weighs 14 lbs. Don’t let his age fool you though. Yes, he is an older fella but believe us when we say this little guy still has the youth of a youngster and has a personality that shines. His personality is so infectious that he can make even big dog lovers fall head over heels for him. Marley is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Marley is all about affection and spoiling you with his gentle love. He truly shines as a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to his person, soaking in love and giving it right back. His energy level is beautifully balanced. Not too busy and not too sleepy. Just the right amount of energy, the kind of pup who fits perfectly into your routine. He enjoys getting out for walks (and walks nicely on a leash!) but is just as content relaxing at home snuggled up next to you on the couch binge watching your favorite show or movie. He’s dog-friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced him to. He has met dogs his size and smaller and has also been around dogs twice his size! No matter the size, Marley has shown himself to be a polite, gentle gentleman when he meets a dog on leash and shows that same level of gentleness when meeting dogs off leash. He isn’t a super playful boy for the most part, but when he does play he has a very light-hearted, bouncy playstyle that isn’t too physical. He is so cute when he is trying to get another dog to play because he does the cutest little play bows and will talk about it with a tiny little bark to get the other dog to join him. Marley is also good about respecting other dogs that do not want to play. If you don’t have other dogs, that’s fine by Marley too! He does not need the company of another dog to satisfy his energy needs or a pal to help him feel comfortable. He is a natural social butterfly and would love to be the center of your attention. Marley also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Marley has the kind of easygoing personality that allows him to thrive in many living situations. He would do very well in an apartment or condo setting, especially with someone who enjoys daily walks and a relaxed routine. His well-balanced energy level and polite leash manners make him a great neighbor-friendly companion. He would also be perfectly happy in a suburban home with a backyard, where he could enjoy sniffing around, sunbathing, and lounging after his walks. While he’d appreciate outdoor access, he doesn’t rely on a yard to be fulfilled; his happiness comes from companionship, not square footage. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who bonds deeply, loves cuddles, and brings a steady, comforting presence into your life, Marley may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. We are willing to test Marley Mac with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? For more pics and vids follow us on: YouTube @thehausofdogs TikTok @thehausofdogsofficial Facebook or Instagram @thehausofdogs Beast was found as a stray and brought into a local shelter, carrying with him a quiet fear of the world around him. He’s nervous and still learning that he’s safe, but even in just a few days in our care, he’s made incredibly meaningful progress. It’s clear Beast wants to love and be loved—he just needs a little time to believe it’s okay. Once he feels safe with you, something beautiful happens…he completely melts. He’ll burrow his face into your chest, cling close, and soak up every ounce of affection like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. We don’t know what he’s been through—what he faced out there, alone and small in such a big world—but we do know this: he’s trying. He’s learning that not all humans are scary, that gentle hands exist, that love is real. Beast is crate trained, keeps his crate clean, and is wonderfully quiet—he won’t bark, whine, or demand attention. But when you give him your time and affection, it means everything to him. He’s intimidated by other dogs but remains soft and respectful—he doesn’t react, challenge, or escalate. He’s simply unsure and taking it all in. He’s also learning to walk on leash, gaining a little more confidence with each step. At his core, Beast is incredibly sweet, gentle, and sensitive. He would thrive as someone’s devoted little shadow—an amazing lap dog for a patient, understanding person who will give him the time and reassurance he needs to blossom. Beast doesn’t need perfection—he just needs someone who will show him, day by day, that he’s finally safe.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Myrna, a sweet Maltipoo girl born on 09/12/2024 and currently weighing 15.7 pounds. She came from a home with 29 dogs, so she’s still learning what it means to be part of a loving family and would benefit from a little extra socialization. Myrna may be shy when you first meet her, but with a bit of patience and kindness, she quickly begins to open up. Once she feels safe, her playful and affectionate side shines through. She enjoys toys, gets along well with other dogs, and does great with kids. This gentle girl is still discovering the joys of family life and is looking for a home that will help her continue to grow in confidence and feel secure. If you’re ready to give Myrna the loving home she deserves, you can apply to adopt her at www.adoggie4you.org . Her adoption fee is $400. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. ADOPTABEL AFTER APRIL 1ST Step up to the plate and meet Naylor ⚾🐾 Named after Josh Naylor, this young pup is a true rookie with all-star potential. He’s got a calm, easygoing vibe in the dugout, but once he warms up, he’s ready to play ball and steal your heart. Naylor is still learning the rules of the game—like walking on a leash and hitting the “go potty outside” home run—but with a gentle coach by his side, he’s eager to learn. He just needs someone patient to show him that the world isn’t so scary and that he’s finally on a forever team where he won’t be traded away again. He’s great with other dogs (a true team player 🐶), loves affection, and those big, soulful eyes? Absolute grand slam material. If you’re ready to draft a loyal companion who will grow into your MVP, Naylor is waiting in the bullpen for you. 🧡 Adopt Naylor and give him the forever home he deserves—because every good player just needs the right team. ⚾ Location: Cashmere, WA (currently in a foster home) 👉 Apply to Adopt: https://www.cognitoforms.com/Okandogs1/DogAdoptionApplication

Meet Tofu, the pint-sized poodle with the confidence of a celebrity and the judgmental side-eye of a seasoned food critic. He’s potty trained, loving, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around him and honestly, he’s not wrong.Tofu adores walks, curling up on the couch, and supervising your life choices from a tasteful distance. He’s affectionate, snuggly, and loyal… as long as you respect one very important rule: Tofu decides when Tofu gets picked up and touched. Rush him, and he’ll give you the kind of look that says, “Try again, peasant.” Go at his pace, and he melts into your arms like warm butter. He’s got a big personality packed into a little dog body and a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and just a touch dramatic. If you’re looking for a loving companion with charm, character, and a sprinkle of diva energy, Tofu is ready to grace your home with his fabulous presence. The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets!
