Story
Toby and Teddy are a beautiful miniature schnauzer pair -- they are ready for adoption and fully vetted. Toby is a brown and white pardi schnauzer who turned 7 years old in November, and Teddy is a bubbly salt and pepper who just turned 5 in January. The boys are very nicely behaved, housebroken, and good on walks (though they can be a little barky sometimes at other dogs). Toby & Teddy are seeking a home where they will have their own safe and nicely manicured backyard (with some grass or turf) for their potty and play-time. In the house, they want to be right where you are -- watching you cook, snuggling with you during TV time, monitoring your sleep at night, and maybe even making sure everything is okay when you have to use the "facilities". They truly do not want you to be lonely. Like with my own schnauzers, it's clear I do not need privacy... but I wouldn't have it any other way. Any children in the home should be at least 14 years old and of a very responsible, kind, and respectful nature. The dogs would be okay in an all-adult home as well. They just want attention, interaction, and love. They really enjoy some backyard time with their family, including participating in zoomies. At their foster home, the ball has just become recognized as a decent toy -- getting more popular by the day. The owner of Toby & Teddy passed away so they pups are probably a bit confused with the changes in their life. They have adjusted nicely in foster care, but it would be so great for them to meet their favorite new family and start their new life together. Toby & Teddy cannot be separated; they must be adopted as a pair. Both are neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped. If you can give this pair a most incredible life, have loads of attention to give, have a dreamy yard for the dogs (meaning nice for dogs, not gravel and cactus), a safe home, and unconditional love, please email to request an adoption application. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. ** probably best as the only two dogs in the home so we don't change their brotherly dynamic.

Story
Perry is an active, spunky young male who we consider the class clown. He is always on the go and ready for a good time. He is good with dogs but a proper introduction is needed. He will need someone that can be active with him and get his energy out. His new family will need to teach with consistency and have some patience while he is learning the new rules of the house. Perry is about 1 year old and is happy and playful. He takes a minute to warm up and may bark a bit at new people but once he gets to know you (which happens pretty quickly) he will be yours forever! He is about 9 lbs and loves to play with other dogs. He loves sleeping in high places and is always in a “lookout post” when resting or relaxing. Perry is a loving dog who needs an owner who is a “pack leader.” He still needs socializing and we are actively introducing him to new people at the rescue as we can. He is so smart but also tends to become overly protective of his people if he feels he does not have a strong leader. His adoption fee is $325 He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.

Story
Mac is a beautiful Miniature Schnauzer who came into rescue with another Schnauzer he likely lived with. They were running at large, apparently lost by their owners or maybe discarded. We are not sure. But we were never able to find their owners. Mac is approximately six years old and has been neutered and had his teeth cleaned as well as gotten all of his shots and been microchipped. He is a very sweet laid-back dog who will greet you with great enthusiasm when you come home from a short errand or a longer day. He settles down nicely though, and it’s very well behaved inside. He walks nicely on a leash and does not pull excessively. He rides well in the car as well. He gets along with most other dogs, although if challenged by a dominant male, he won’t back down. Schnauzers are the most loyal of breeds and he will be protective and stay by your side, no matter what. Mac weighs 20 lbs and is on the big side compared to some schnauzer’s but he is not overweight. He will make a warm, welcome addition to almost any household as he seems to love everyone. Mac is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Mac’s adoption fee is $300 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue.
