Millie is an active girl who loves to play. She is always ready to run around the yard with her siblings and likes to make new friends, but can sometimes by a little shy at first. Millie came to the shelter with her siblings Max and Minnie. All three dogs are joyful, affectionate, playful and just plain fun to be around! All those great qualities, plus she is just as adorable as can be! Visit http://animalsbenefitclub.com/adopt/ to learn about our Adoption Process and to download an adoption questionnaire. All interested adopters must complete an adoption questionnaire. If you are considered a match for the pet you are interested in, you will be contacted. A home visit is REQUIRED. Voicemail messages are retrieved periodically, but please note, we DO NOT RETURN CALLS regarding the status of adoption questionnaires. Our administrative staff is volunteer based, thank you for your patience and understanding. Story
Spice is a beautiful female purebred Miniature Schnauzer. This Chocolate and white little lady is 3 years old and a such a beauty. She weighs about 12 lbs and came from a breeder who decided she did not need her any longer in her breeding program. Spice is quiet and a bit shy. She takes a minute to get to know people because she was never exposed to many people. Only her owner/breeder. She WILL warm up quickly and will be a wonderful and loyal companion. Spice is learning to walk on a leash. She would love a home with another small dog to play with and a yard to romp and play in. Spice is current on all vetting. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and even had her teeth cleaned! Like many of our rescue dogs we are not sure how well housetrained Spice is. We believe that with gentle persuasion, some consistency, structure and praise she should be easy to train. Spice is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Spice's adoption fee is $550 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair ever dog and family for a successful and happy life.

Story
Hi friends, We are in need of rehoming our pups. My husband was recently diagnosed with ALS and it’s a very unfortunate situation and it pains us to have to do this. All of my attention needs to be on my husband and his care. These pups are females 6-7yrs old. Maltese, schnauzer, poodle mix. If you are willing or know anyone who needs companionship this would be a great opportunity. 🐾🖤🐾 It would be great if they went together but they don’t need to. Please reach out if there is any interest and I can give you more details🐾🐾 And prayers for our family would be appreciated 🙏

These pups are in Scottsdale, Arizona too!

Story
Hello, I'm Larkin, but you can call me Birdie. I'm a curious, loyal, cuddly, shy, sweet, gentle, and mellow gal. I ended up here at the shelter after I mistook the mailman for my long-lost cousin. I mean, he was carrying letters, and I love to fetch! It was a hilarious mix-up, but here I am, ready to find a new home. I'll greet you warmly every time you walk in the door. I'm looking for a family that appreciates my gentle spirit and can laugh at life's little mix-ups. Adopt me, and let's make our own comedy together!Larkin is about 4, 13lbs and ready for snuggling! if you'd like to know more, please answer some questions at www.lovefordogs.org/adopt-foster so a volunteer can reach out.
