Once your application is approved, our adoption coordinator will reach out to you by email. You can also follow up by email with our adoption coordinator at rainingcatsanddogsvolunteer@gmail.com. We appreciate you being patient with us as we are all volunteers and many of us have full time jobs. We will get back with you as soon as we can. We hope to be able to match you with a new fur baby!

Story
Born this past April, Mickey is our sweet Mini Schnauzer boy full of love, playfulness, and puppy energy. He will be one year old in April. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and listens very well, following directions beautifully. Mickey is still working on his house training. We’ve noticed that when he is with just one adult, he has no accidents at all. In our busy home with young children, he becomes overstimulated and anxious, which we believe contributes to his bladder struggles. Because of this, we feel he would truly thrive in a calmer, lower-stimulus environment where he can feel relaxed and confident. He is an incredibly sweet, affectionate boy who bonds deeply one-on-one and has so much potential in the right home. Mickey will come with his AKC paperwork, complete vet records (including all vaccines), and the remaining Vetco Total Care plan. The $850 adoption fee will apply to ensure he goes to a responsible, loving home.

Story
Meet Charlie, the affectionate snuggle bug seeking a loving home! He thrives on companionship and trust. While he will bark at new dogs and people, he calms down with time. Charlie gets along well with other dogs but should be in a cat-free home. He can be a bit hyper around kids, so an adult-only household is best. As Schnauzer, he has a unique thinner coat and has had past dietary issues, but he’s fine with a quality diet. He has a few missing teeth, so softer treats are ideal. Charlie is potty trained but needs a clean area and takes his time outside, requiring extra care. If you can offer him love and patience, he will reward you with cuddles and loyalty. Requirements for adopting Charlie: - A fenced yard. - Must take him for short walks. - No other dogs or cats preferred. - No children under 16. - Must be home most of the time. - No renters, please. - Must live in Florida, ideally within 60 miles of Sarasota-Bradenton. Adoption fee will be donated to shelter of your choice.
