Story
Meet little Buddy! He is a small Schnauzer mix. After his loving owner passed away, Buddy was thrown into the backyard by relatives who did not care for him properly. Fortunately, he survived the hot Arkansas summer & was relinquished to rescue.  Buddy thoroughly enjoys toys, lounging at home, & taking car rides. He loves playing outside & is very inquisitive about his surroundings. A fenced-in yard is recommended to keep him safe. In his foster home, all dogs are fed seperately. However, Buddy does a great job waiting for treats when given alongside the other dogs. While Buddy does well with other small dogs, he is not a fan of cats. A feline-free home is best for this little guy. Although he enjoys playing with toys, he does resource guard at times & will nip in order to keep them, therefore a home without young children or grandchildren is needed. Little Buddy gets along well with both men and women & would do great with adults. Buddy loves to be held like a baby & licks often to show his affection. He has had several teeth removed, but has no issues eating. Buddy is crate-trained, does well with a harness, & is using the doggy door as well as potty pads in his foster home. He does have occasional accidents. His foster mom is available to answer any questions.  Little Buddy is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, & heartworm negative. His adoption fee for New England adopters is $500, which includes transport to New England & a health certificate from his veterinarian. His local adoption fee is $175 (no transportation or health certificate). ##2580863##

Story
This adorable duo were found in a very remote area in Arkansas. Unbelievably shy, they have gradually started coming out of their shell, and their personalities are beginning to blossom. Both are quick to smile and love the attention they are getting.  They are very affectionate and love belly rubs, squeaky toys, and chasing the other pups around the yard. Although they can be active, they also love to lay on the couch and watch television. They are not hyperactive at all. Both boys are crate trained and potty trained. They are young, so they still want to get into mischief such as chewing up socks. So before submitting an application, be aware that they are young and will need more training. Neither one has a dominant personality, they're both very low-key and get along great with other dogs and together. Both do very well while taking a bath. Benji is 2 pounds lighter than his brother Andy. They both weigh under 30 pounds and probably will not grow to be much larger. As much as we would love to see them go together as a bonnet pair, we realize that may not be possible. So we are willing to adopt them out separately. If someone would like to adopt them as a bonded pair, we will be happy to take off $150 off of the adoption fee. Currently they're being fostered on a farm in Arkansas. Transport is available to New England. Their adoption fee is $450 each, which includes the cost of transport. Andy and Benji are both heartworm negative, up-to-date on all core vaccinations, and microchipped. Both are afraid of kids and cats.  ##2559637##

Story
Who would have thought someone could keep this little guy chained up, outside, with little to no interaction? Well, that’s how we found him. Palomo was a small puppy when the owners got him, then decided he was getting bigger, and they didn’t want to deal with it, so outside on a chain he went. This is how Palomo has lived the last few months of his life. On a chain with just the basic necessities to survive; food tossed out, water bowl with algae in it and something to lay under that is considered shelter. Palomo is about 6 months old and weighs approximately 13 lbs. We do not believe he is getting any bigger. Palomo means Dove in Spanish – while we did not want his name to stay with him as it’s what the previous owners named him, he does answer to it, so we decided it would not be fair for him to learn a whole new name on top of all of the other changes also. Despite everything he has been through in his short life, this boy is so sweet and just wants to love and be loved. He is very much a puppy still – he loves to baby talked to and play. He gets super excited and will start hopping around and yipping in happiness. Palomo is working on house training and crate training – he is not fully there yet, but when he has lived on a chain most of his life, this is very expected. So please understand he will need someone with patience on this. He loves other dogs and is getting used to the inside cats! We cannot guarantee he is hypoallergenic as we do not know what he is mixed with, but he has minimal shedding. Everything is very new to him – He is such a curious boy but is loving the inside life now. Palomo is working on his leash training, but he definitely gets very excited easily. An ideal home would be one that understands he does need some consistent training and lots of love. He is still a puppy and needs exercise to get that puppy energy out. Any family would be lucky to have this little guy! Palomo is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
