Story
Meet little Buddy! He is a 10 pound, approximately 4 year old, Schnauzer mix. After his loving owner passed away, Buddy was thrown into the backyard by relatives who did not care for him properly. Fortunately, he survived the hot Arkansas summer & was relinquished to rescue.  Our little Buddy is doing great in his foster home, enjoying playtime with 3 other small dogs.  He thoroughly enjoys toys, lounging at home, taking car rides, & playing outside. In his foster home, all dogs are fed seperately. However, Buddy does a great job waiting for treats when given alongside the other dogs. While Buddy does well with other small dogs, he is not a fan of cats. A feline-free home is best for this little guy. He has a history of nipping when playing with squeaky toys (if they are taken from him, he will try to keep them). Due to getting overstimulated, these toys are not recommended. Although a home without young children or grandchildren would be the ideal environment for Buddy, he would do well with adults of any age. Buddy gets along well with both men and women. This sweet little fella loves to be held & has the most playful personality! He is definitely a joy to love on. Also of note, Buddy had several teeth removed during his recent dental visit. His little tongue sticks out at times, especially while sleeping. When super relaxed, he sometimes looks like he has two little fangs! It is truly adorable to see! Buddy is crate-trained, does well with a harness, & although he did require the use of belly bands at first, he is now using the doggy door as well as potty pads in his foster home. His foster mom is available to answer any questions.  Little Buddy is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, & heartworm negative. His adoption fee for New England adopters is $500, which includes transport to New England & a health certificate from his veterinarian. His local adoption fee is $175 (no transportation or health certificate). ##2580863##

Story
This adorable duo were found in a very remote area in Arkansas. Unbelievably shy, they have gradually started coming out of their shell, and their personalities are beginning to blossom. Both are quick to smile and love the attention they are getting.  They are very affectionate and love belly rubs, squeaky toys, and chasing the other pups around the yard. Although they can be active, they also love to lay on the couch and watch television. They are not hyperactive at all. Both boys are crate trained and potty trained. They are young, so they still want to get into mischief such as chewing up socks. So before submitting an application, be aware that they are young and will need more training. Neither one has a dominant personality, they're both very low-key and get along great with other dogs and together. Both do very well while taking a bath. Benji is 2 pounds lighter than his brother Andy. They both weigh under 30 pounds and probably will not grow to be much larger. As much as we would love to see them go together as a bonnet pair, we realize that may not be possible. So we are willing to adopt them out separately. If someone would like to adopt them as a bonded pair, we will be happy to take off $150 off of the adoption fee. Currently they're being fostered on a farm in Arkansas. Transport is available to New England. Their adoption fee is $450 each, which includes the cost of transport. Andy and Benji are both heartworm negative, up-to-date on all core vaccinations, and microchipped. Both are afraid of kids and cats.  ##2559637##

Story
***PEANUT IS LOCATED IN A FOSTER HOME IN ROCKAWAY, NJ - Now that she arrived to the NE, an approved applicant would have to be willing to drive to meet/pick up Peanut from that area**** Peanut is a 2-year-old female that weighs 19.20 lbs – Her brother Butter was adopted and living his best life already 😊 These fantastic furbabies were found running in and out of traffic on a busy road when they were seen by a good Samaritan. It took over an hour, and lots of dodging traffic to finally encourage these 2 into their vehicle. We do not know how they were not run over, but we are so glad they gave in to going to safety! With that being said, we know they do enjoy car rides and loading up in the vehicle! While we do not know what their exact breeds are, they do not shed, therefore we do believe they can be considered hypoallergenic. Based on looks – We think they could be a mix of schnauzer, poodle, Lhasa apso, shih tzu and Tibetan Terrier, but who knows?! They are cute for sure! Peanut and Butter are not bonded, but they do get along wonderfully. They are fostered with other doggies, and they get along with all the dogs they meet, big and small, young and old. They would do great with other dogs in the home or with no dogs in the home. While they have not actively been introduced to cats recently, we believe based on their personalities they would do great with cats. They have no aggressive behaviors and are really just some of the most easy-going doggies. Peanut and Butter are more relaxed dogs – they enjoy lounging around the backyard and around the patio. Peanut is a little shyer than Butter, she does take a little bit of time to come around. The foster believes both would do great with children, but Peanut would be best with older, more well-behaved children who understand patience and kindness with a dog. Butter is more outgoing and would be better with all age children. They are crate trained and house trained. Both dogs would do best in a home that is more low key to medium active as they are not very hyperactive dogs and just like to hang out. They would do great with walks around the neighborhood or just a backyard to hang out in. Even car rides around just to get out of the house and see the views 😊 Peanut and Butter are wonderful furbabies who deserve a family or families that will love them and not let them run the streets and dodge cars that they don’t understand will end their lives. Peanut is spayed, heart worm negative, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, current on dewormer, current on age-appropriate vaccinations (parvo/distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccine) and microchipped. She will receive clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh, MD and Falls Church, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Story
Hi, I’m Nova, a 7-year-old Mini Schnauzer with a big heart and a happy spirit. I love long walks, playing endlessly, cuddling, and enjoying peaceful mornings with my favorite people. I’m affectionate and happy just being near you, keeping you company. I’m tolerant of calm cats and dogs, enjoying relaxing together. If you want a loving companion for fun, affection, and quiet moments, I’d love to be with you. Care Notes: Nova will do best with an adopter who understands gentle handling and routine grooming. She is sensitive when her legs and feet are handled and may react by snapping, so a patient, experienced groomer or veterinary team is recommended. Her coat mats easily, and regular brushing and maintenance will help keep her comfortable. Nova will also need a dental evaluation and may require dental work, including possible extractions. The full extent of her dental needs is currently unknown, so adopters should be prepared for future dental care. *Adoption fee is negotiable

Story
Sterling is a 7-year-old miniature schnauzer with a big personality and even bigger energy. Don’t let his age fool you—this guy is lively both indoors and outdoors and loves to stay on the move. He enjoys going for walks and being involved in whatever his people are doing, often right at their feet.Because Sterling is very underfoot, he’s best suited for an adopter who is steady on their feet and comfortable with an active, enthusiastic companion. He can be mouthy when excited, so a home with teens or adults only would be the best fit for him.Sterling would thrive with someone who understands energetic dogs, enjoys an active lifestyle, and can provide clear boundaries and structure. In the right home, he’ll be a fun, engaging companion who brings plenty of spunk and charm to everyday life. Sterling may enjoy living with another dog but they would have to meet first. If you are interested in adopting Sterling please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. If you are unable to come during those times please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available.

Story
Meet Snoopy! This scruffy little gentleman is a whirlwind of excitement and love all wrapped up in a fifteen pound package. Snoopy is shy and nervous around new people, but his trust is worth the effort. Give him some time and a few dozen snacks and he'll be barking with excitement and bouncing impossibly high in the air when he sees his person. Snoopy came from a home where he didn't receive much socialization so he's still learning about the outside world and everything new might be a little scary. Snoopy has made so much progress while in our care - he's grown to love and trust staff, realized how much fun zoomies and yard-time is, and even learned to walk on leash! Snoopy is housed with another dog from his previous home, Fortune Cookie. He would benefit from going home with Cookie but could also find a home of his own with the right family. Snoopy is in our special adoption program which provides aditional counseling to set adopters and their new pets up for success. Snoopy would do best in a quiet adult only home. If you are interested in him, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email Claire at cshamgochian@parl.org to learn more and set up a meet and greet.

Story
McGraw (aka “The Audacity in a Fur Coat” ) McGraw is a 6-month-old Schnauzer mix who radiates confidence, charm, and pure audacity. He’s cute — offensively cute — which is fortunate, because he’s also a bit of a menace. Honestly, he’s lucky he’s handsome. It’s the only reason we haven’t sent him packing for his unapologetic antics. He’s brilliant, but not in a helpful way. You can expect a constant stream of feedback—he’s nothing if not expressive. He’ll let you know exactly how he feels about everything— sometimes through barking, sometimes through grumbling, and occasionally through what we’ll call “constructive growling.” Don’t worry, it’s mostly just his way of expressing that you’ve mildly inconvenienced him. He’s the type of dog who’ll steal your heart and your spot on the couch, then growl when you try to take it back. He does well with kids, cats, and other dogs — assuming everyone understands who’s in charge here (hint: it’s McGraw ). He’s crate trained, picking up house training, neutered, vaccinated, and running entirely on confidence and misplaced self-importance. He’ll make you laugh, cry, and question your life choices , often in the same hour. McGraw will require an adopter with either a lot of experience or the patience of a saint — preferably both. You’ll need a sense of humor, low blood pressure, and a good understanding of irony. If you enjoy sarcastic commentary, mildly toxic relationships, and being bossed around by someone under two feet tall, McGraw is your guy. Apply now, or don’t— his self esteem will remain unaffected.
