Story
Meet Daisy, a sweet and sensitive little dog who is learning that the world can be a safe place. Daisy came to rescue after being found living on the streets of Texas with several other dogs. Understandably overwhelmed by her experiences, she is still building confidence and learning to trust, but each day she grows a little braver. While she's listed as a Miniature Schnauzer/Beagle mix, she could be something more like an Aussiedoodle—and she certainly shares the intelligence, alertness, and personality that come with it! Daisy isn't worried about her roots though. She is too busy learning what it means to be a house dog! This gentle girl thrives in calm, predictable environments and is happiest when she's close to her person. She enjoys morning and evening walks, car rides, cozy naps, tasty treats, and simply being included in daily life. Whether she's curled up on the back of the sofa, stretched across the bed, or relaxing nearby, Daisy loves having a safe place to settle and watch the world go by. Once she feels comfortable, Daisy is incredibly affectionate. She seeks out pets and is known for giving full-body "bear hugs," wrapping her paws around your shoulders and burying her head into you for comfort and love. Daisy can be overwhelmed by loud noises, unfamiliar places, energetic people, and other animals. She does well with the cat in her foster home, but can become anxious around dogs, especially during high-energy interactions. Because of this, she would likely thrive as the only dog in a quiet home where she can focus on building trust and confidence. Daisy is looking for a patient adopter who will let her move at her own pace and celebrate the small victories along the way. Her ideal home includes a calm environment, older respectful children (or adults only), a securely fenced yard, and someone committed to helping her continue gaining confidence. For the person willing to earn her trust, Daisy offers something truly special—a deep bond, unwavering loyalty, and the sweetest bear hugs around.

Story
She is a Mini Schnauzer who came from the Monticello impound. She is microchipped & current on meds. Very polite, petite, and quiet little lady. Gets along well with other dogs and people. Potty training is a work in progress. Cuddles are a must in her forever home. Especially cheek to cheek cuddles. She is losing her hearing and vision due to her age, but would still love to spend her golden years with you!   ##2723601##
