Story
Oatie (short for Oat Milk) is a stray we found this summer in Minneapolis. He is very sweet and cuddly. He only barks when someone's at the door and when he's about to get fed - otherwise he is very calm. He enjoys road trips and hiking, and will lay in your lap the entire time in the car. He is not neutered, and has a heart murmur that would cause a challenge if he went under anesthesia. His major issue is that he is not potty-trained, so he wears doggy diapers in the house and has to be changed frequently.

Kenicke is a high energy boy who loves the outdoors and to play with other dogs.  He was found by MACC roaming the streets with his sister, Rizzo, who is almost his identical twin.  Yes, twinning!  He is a ragamuffin weighing in at only 11 lbs. He likes to be around his people and will crawl into your lap for snuggles.  Lil Kenicke comes to you fully crate trained where he sleeps at night (although we’re thinking he would prefer to sleep with his people). He is working on his house training and could use some help to give him that final push to get him to 100% house-broken (Note: he doesn’t have accidents in his kennel).  We know he can do it! Given Kenicke’s temperament, he would do best in a home where he has space to run his little heart out and expend all his energy so once he’s in the house he can show you what a truly sweet boy he really is.   Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dixie is a 7 year old miniature schnauzer who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. Her people were moving and couldn't take her. She's kind of a mess right now and needs a good grooming, which we will have done as soon as possible. She has been completely vetted and chipped and her fee is $150. Dixie is a typical schnauzer and can be quite vocal at times. She is a loving and friendly gal. She did live with other animals in her previous home, although she can be a little bit opinionated when she meets new dogs. We do think she'd be okay with a well-mannered male dog of similar size. She has done well with older kids, too.  NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. Story
Java just turned one year old in September, and is a wonderful, very energetic little girl. I bought her from a quality breeder in Minnesota last year and have taken her to two sets of classes at the Canine Coach to learn the basics. She has also gotten complete medical care at the St. Paul Pet Hospital and is in perfect health. I’ve decided I just don’t have the time and energy needed to continue her training and care, and I want to find her a new home with more than one person to share the love. I am ONLY looking for an adopter who lives in the Twin Cities. Please note that I am not giving Java away. There is a fee of $2100.
