Story
Meet Puggy Female DOB: June 03, 2025 Weight: 11 lbs (small) Breed: Yorkie Terrier Mix Spayed (Fixed): Pending Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Puggy is a sweet young girl with a loving personality and charming Terrier spirit. At 1 year old, she has moved beyond the demanding puppy stage while still keeping her youthful energy, curiosity, and playful nature. She enjoys spending time with her people and thrives on companionship and affection. Puggy is the type of dog who wants to be part of the family, whether that means joining you on walks, relaxing at home, or simply staying close to her favorite humans. As a Yorkie Terrier mix, Puggy may show traits such as: Intelligence and eagerness to learn Loyal and affectionate companionship Alert and curious personality Playful but manageable energy Strong bonds with her family Yorkie mixes are often devoted companions who enjoy being involved in daily life and thrive with attention, structure, and positive reinforcement. Puggy would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily walks and exercise Continued training and guidance Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of companionship and affection A lifelong commitment to her physical and emotional well-being Her small size and loving personality make her a wonderful companion for many different types of homes. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even friendly and well-adjusted dogs benefit from continued guidance, consistency, and positive reinforcement after adoption. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Puggy will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Exercise and mental stimulation Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, rescue dogs like Puggy blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Puggy will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Regular grooming and coat maintenance Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of her small size, care should be taken around larger animals, rough play, and unsecured outdoor spaces. Puggy is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
