Meet Chewy From Abandoned and Neglected to Safe and Loved—Chewy Is Ready for Her Fresh Start ❤️ Breed: Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) Gender: Female | DOB: May 7, 2026 | Current Weight/Size: 8 lbs (Small) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Spay Pending (Age-Appropriate) | ✔️ Vaccinations Current for Age | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Chewy's Story When Chewy was found, it was obvious this little girl needed someone to care. She had been abandoned and was dirty and uncared for, despite being just a young puppy. We don't know exactly what happened before she was found, but we do know she deserved better. Instead of growing up in a safe home surrounded by people who loved her, Chewy suddenly found herself without anyone to call her own. Thankfully, rescue changed that. Chewy was brought to safety, cleaned up, given good food, and finally surrounded by people committed to helping her. With that difficult beginning behind her, she can now focus on the important business of being a puppy—playing, exploring, learning, and figuring out just how much fun life can be. Chewy is a lovable young girl with a bright, curious personality. She enjoys attention and companionship and likes being involved in whatever is happening around her. She's ready for a family that will encourage her playful side while giving her the structure and guidance every young dog needs. As a Yorkshire Terrier, Chewy is likely to mature into an intelligent, affectionate, and spirited companion. Yorkies are famous for their confidence and big personalities. Although they're small dogs, they often approach life with the enthusiasm of a much larger one. They're also incredibly devoted to their families and thrive when included in everyday life. Chewy would thrive with a family that provides: Lots of affection and companionship Positive reinforcement puppy training Consistent house-training Age-appropriate daily exercise Interactive play and mental enrichment Continued positive socialization Regular grooming and coat maintenance A predictable daily routine A safe indoor home Lifelong love and commitment Chewy's past may explain where she came from, but it doesn't determine where she's going. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Chewy is still a puppy, so adopters should expect all the normal parts of raising a young dog—chewing, teething, house-training, energetic play, curiosity, and plenty of learning. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to begin decompressing and feeling secure 3 Weeks to start learning her new family's routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Chewy will benefit from patient, reward-based training from the beginning. Early socialization with different people, environments, sounds, and appropriately matched animals will help her become a confident adult. Consistency matters. Everyone in the household should use the same rules and expectations so Chewy can clearly understand what her family is asking of her. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care A puppy is a long-term commitment, and Chewy's adopter should be prepared to care for her throughout every stage of her life. Her ongoing care should include: Completion of her age-appropriate vaccination schedule Spaying when age-appropriate Routine veterinary wellness examinations Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention A nutritious diet appropriate for her age and size Routine dental care Daily physical exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued training and socialization Regular brushing and professional grooming Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs As a Yorkie, Chewy will require ongoing coat maintenance. Regular brushing and professional grooming will help keep her comfortable and prevent painful matting and tangles. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Chewy, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to helping dogs find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Chewy was once a dirty, abandoned little puppy without a home to call her own. Today, she's safe, cared for, and getting her second chance. Now she needs a family who will show her that being loved isn't temporary—and that this time, home really does mean forever. ❤️August 17, 2026, 10:26 pm

Meet Wicky Abandoned as a Tiny Puppy—Wicky Is Now a Happy, Spunky Girl Ready for Her Forever Family ❤️ Breed: Mixed Breed Gender: Female | DOB: May 7, 2026 | Current Weight/Size: 8 pounds (Small Puppy) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Spay Pending (Age-Appropriate) | ✔️ Vaccinations Current for Age | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Wicky's Story Wicky's story started with abandonment, but this little girl isn't letting her past slow her down. Wicky was part of a litter of puppies that was abandoned and left without a family to care for them. At such a young age, she and her siblings were completely vulnerable and depended on each other until help arrived. Thankfully, they were found and brought into rescue, where Wicky finally received the food, safety, and care every puppy deserves. And Wicky quickly showed everyone exactly who she is—a happy, spunky little girl with a big personality! Wicky approaches life with enthusiasm. She's playful, curious, and ready to investigate whatever is happening around her. She loves having fun, interacting with people, and enjoying all the new experiences she missed out on during her difficult beginning. She's the kind of puppy who can make you laugh with her silly antics one minute and then happily settle in for affection the next. Her cheerful personality makes her a wonderful match for a family looking for a fun little companion to grow up alongside them. Because Wicky is still a young puppy, her personality will continue to develop as she matures. Early training, socialization, and plenty of positive experiences will help her grow into a confident and well-adjusted adult dog. Wicky would thrive in a home that offers: Plenty of love and companionship Positive reinforcement puppy training Patient and consistent house-training Daily age-appropriate play and exercise Interactive toys and mental enrichment Continued socialization A predictable daily routine A safe indoor home where she's included as part of the family A lifelong commitment through every stage of her life Wicky didn't get to choose how her story started. Now she needs a family who will make sure everything that comes next is filled with love. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Wicky is still a puppy, which means her new family gets the rewarding job of teaching her how to become a wonderful family dog. Adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, teething, house-training accidents, energetic play, and lots of curiosity. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to begin decompressing and feeling safe 3 Weeks to start understanding her new household routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Wicky will benefit from positive reinforcement training from the beginning. Consistent boundaries and early socialization with different people, environments, sounds, and appropriately matched animals will help her build confidence. Her spunky personality means she'll also appreciate plenty of enrichment. Puzzle toys, short training sessions, games, walks as age-appropriate, and interactive play can help keep both her body and mind busy. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Adopting Wicky means making a lifelong commitment to her physical and emotional well-being. Puppies require time, patience, training, veterinary care, and financial responsibility throughout their lives. Wicky's adopter should be prepared to provide: Completion of her puppy vaccination schedule Spaying when age-appropriate Routine veterinary wellness examinations Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention as recommended by a veterinarian A nutritionally complete puppy diet appropriate for her growth Routine dental care Continued training and socialization Daily age-appropriate physical exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe, loving indoor home We recommend establishing care with a veterinarian shortly after adoption and continuing regular wellness visits throughout Wicky's life.
