Lavender is a precious Yorkshire Terrier that is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy dogs. She is coming from a dog hoarding situation and is guessed to be 4-5 years old. She is adorable but still very nervous and likes to stay cozy in the dog bed in her crate...it is her safe place! Her Foster mom is working with her on potty training and socializing. Her goal is to start teaching her to walk on a leash but ultimately Lavender will need someone to introduce her to the world slowly and give her time to adjust to her new life. There are lots of other dogs at her foster moms house so we know she is dog friendly, her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced properly. She thinks she would do better in a home with a confident dog or in a quiet home with adults or older quiet kids only. She will need an adopter who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable girl as a part of your new family. She deserves all the love in the world and will give you a lifetime of love. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs and LOVE LOVE LOVE their humans. She has so much love to give and is looking for her FurEver Home. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter who is willing to help her continue with her training and help her gain confidence either with in person, or virtual training session(s). She will provide a discount on training. The amount of training needed will depend on the knowledge and experience of the adopter and how far along she is at the time of adoption.
