Story
Lavender is a precious Yorkshire Terrier that is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy dogs. She is coming from a dog hoarding situation and is guessed to be 4-5 years old. She is adorable but still very nervous and likes to stay cozy in the dog bed in her crate...it is her safe place! Her Foster mom is working with her on potty training and socializing. Her goal is to start teaching her to walk on a leash but ultimately Lavender will need someone to introduce her to the world slowly and give her time to adjust to her new life. There are lots of other dogs at her foster moms house so we know she is dog friendly, her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced properly. She thinks she would do better in a home with a confident dog or in a quiet home with adults or older quiet kids only. She will need an adopter who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable girl as a part of your new family. She deserves all the love in the world and will give you a lifetime of love. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs and LOVE LOVE LOVE their humans. She has so much love to give and is looking for her FurEver Home. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter who is willing to help her continue with her training and help her gain confidence either with in person, or virtual training session(s). She will provide a discount on training. The amount of training needed will depend on the knowledge and experience of the adopter and how far along she is at the time of adoption.

Story
Meet Prissy! This tiny gal came from a hoarding situation along with Bubbles, Winnie, Booger, and Boo Bear. Our rescue partner says they are all great pups who love to snuggle other dogs! From Prissy's current foster: "Hey there, I'm Prissy - your soon-to-be partner-in-crime and resident goofball of the dog world! Yep, my name might sound all fancy, but don't worry, I'm just as down-to-earth as they come. Picture this: me, lounging in your arms like a furry little monarch, soaking up all the attention and treats I can get my paws on. Oh, the life of luxury! Now, let's talk dining. I'm a bit of a foodie, you see. From filet mignon to the occasional fallen French fry (hey, waste not, want not, am I right?), I've got a taste for the finer things in life. And if I don't get my way? Well, let's just say I've got a bark that could rival a howler monkey. Potty training? It's a work in progress, my friend. I've got the whole peeing outside thing down to a science, but when it comes to number two...let's just say I'm still figuring out the logistics. But hey, who needs a fancy toilet when you've got a plush carpet, am I right? Talk about luxury! At night, I'm a regular party animal - barking at shadows, chasing my tail, you name it. And when I'm all partied out, there's nothing I love more than snuggling up close and dreaming of tomorrow's adventures. So, if you're in the market for a furry friend who's equal parts charm, quirk, and downright hilarity, look no further than yours truly. Swing by and meet me today - I promise to keep you laughing 'til the cows come home!" ADOPTION FEE: $425 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Hi my name is Thumper, like the bunny! I think it is because of my cute little tail. I was found running the streets of Texas covered in fleas and stickers. I am so glad I was rescued. I did great for the groomer, except I didnt like my face done. I have learned the doggy door, but need some work. I love other dogs and kids! I am looking for a home that understands my grooming needs as well as my love I have to offer. I just want to find my people, is that you? ##2040123##

Story
If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Remi is the pup you want to have around! Remi, at 6 months old and 9 lbs is just naturally a lover, and when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. Remi is a beautiful and sweet as can be Yorkshire Terrier / Cairn Terrier mix with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular and beloved breed mixes. Farfel's received a plea from Rescued Pets Movement in Houston to save the life of Remi who was scheduled for euthanasia due to a lack of space. They described this Terrier mix as wonderful, sweet and just about perfect in his temperament and loving personality. We were thrilled to accept the wonderful Remi into our rescue. Remi is a cuddler and snuggler all the way! He loves to to cuddle close on the couch for TV watching, belly rubs or just hanging out with his favorite people is just about perfect for this sweet best friend. An occasional kiss from Remi, once comfortable in his new home, is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very kind dog who derives so much joy from his time spent with his favorite people and his doggy friends. Remi is a young, playful and silly pup who will love his family with all his heart. He would enjoy another gentle dog to play with, although it's not necessary if his family is involved and present. Remi will have so much fun exploring, and taking long walks and hikes along Colorado's gorgeous paths and trails. Hiking and socializing with other hikers is right down this friendly and active guy's alley once he's comfortable in his new home. Remi is always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude...just say the word and up Remi jumps for a car ride, a fun backyard game or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood. Remi's rescuer had the following to brag about this sweet guy: Remi is an extremely affectionate and loving dog! I would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loving and sweet pup. Id hate to see this social guy left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. He seems too sensitive for that type of arrangement. Remi's Texas foster mom share the following with us: There's lots of tail wagging when Remi is around. He's such a happy and positive guy once comfortable in his environment. You can't help falling in love with his sweetness and kind ways...his joy is contagious. Remi loves going on long walks or being in my backyard exploring is just about perfect for this curious pup.. He's wonderful with other dogs that he's met and will enjoy their company in his forever home.I can say without reservation that Remi will be an excellent companion and best friend for a dog-loving family. Farfel's would like to see Remi in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A virtual or in-person positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important to the future behaviors of every dog that we're unwilling to adopt Remi out to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Remi's non-shedding or lightly shedding hair will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths/brushing and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are great lifelong protocols for coat care and general health) to keep his hair cottony-soft and very healthy. Remi has been fully vetted and vaccinated to be in line with Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. He has also been neutered to support Farfel's commitment to zero population growth in the canine world. Remi will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday Wednesday 5/8/2024. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Remi please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Harry, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Looking for a new buddy! Harry may just be your guy! Harry is an adorable scruffy pup with lots of personality. Harry loves belly rubs, kisses, and cuddles. From Harry's Foster: * * * * I LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY! He's so friendly, rolls over for belly rubs, and gets along with everyone he meets! * * * * Harry is coming to Farfel's Rescue from a small shelter in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He was picked up as a stray and brought into this tiny shelter, that we have worked with for years. When we were reached out to to help sweet Harry, we couldn't resist. Harry is around 5 years old (as per the vets) and is only 4.8lbs. He is believed to be a Yorkie / Chihuahua mix. Harry would be a wonderful companion for an individual, a family, or active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with this irresistible pup that's beautiful both inside and out. Harry's nature is to be a very happy boy who represents the joyful attitude of both his breeds. Harry will do well with any loving guardian who's invested in spending time with their pup. He's so pleasant and portable that he can be a part of any adventure. It can be a leisurely walk socializing with neighbors, a picnic in the park or a visit with family or friends. At day's end, a spot on, or beside the bed all night next to his favorite humans will speak to the loving nature of this little dog. We'd like to place Harry in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Harry has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines, and arriving neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Rusty is a 9(ish) year old adorable little man weighing about 10lbs.  Rusty is a spicy little boy and we could not be more obsessed with him.  He was adopted from us a couple years back and he really ruled the roost in his home.  The couple was older and they just wanted a dog to lay around with them all day and he was not that dog.  He became sassy, and while the wife absolutely loved him, the husband said he had to go.   Since Rusty had absolutely no training while he was with them we decided to board and train him to get his big personality under wraps and to get him the training and exercise he deserved.  Since Rusty did our board and train program we are going to require he goes to a family who will take our training classes so they can learn everything that Rusty has learned. It is 100% free to the adopters which is an amazing deal, for people who want to learn more about dogs and how to help them succeed!  Rusty is an awesome little guy.  He loves to go for walks and he can be very talkative.  He lots to trot around the yard with a big smile on his face.  He is an adorable little oldman and will bring so much joy to his forever family! If you are interested in Rusty, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1773501##
