Story
Hi, I'm Bailey! I'm a 4-year-old Maltese-Shih Tzu blend, or 22 lbs of adorable fluff and love. Even though I'm a boy, I sometimes wonder if my name should have been Ariel, because just like the Little Mermaid, I want to be where the people are.
Favorite Things: Bailey loves being near his people, but he is respectful and doesn’t try to get in your lap. He’s happy sitting next to you on the couch or in a dog bed by your feet. He is also a bit of a foodie and loves toys of all shapes and sizes. He is a generally happy guy.
Training & Manners: Bailey is as good as he is cute! He is housetrained if let out frequently. He is a good passenger on car rides, walks well on a leash, and generally has good basic manners. He will talk when he wants something, scratches to be let out, whether to do his business or to simply enjoy the sunshine.
Health & Care: Bailey is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and just had a dental cleaning. He’ll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. This handsome floof will also need regular brushing and professional grooming every 6 -8 weeks to look and feel his best.
Other Animals: Bailey does well with other small, playful dogs. He hasn't been observed around cats yet, but his foster thinks he'd be OK with them.
Children: This snuggly sweetheart is good with children of all ages.
Ideal Home: Bailey would be equally at home in a condo, apartment, or single-family home: anywhere that his human is around more often than not and anywhere there's a space for him on the sofa.
