Story
Hi! I’m Beary! I’m a 9-year-old, 14 lb Yorkshire Terrier-Shih Tzu blend with a whole lot of personality packed into my little body! I’m playful, curious, and ready to bring my big personality (and even bigger heart) to my forever home!
Favorite Things: Beary has plenty of things he loves, but some of his favorites include playing with his toys, curling up for a cozy nap under a comfy blanket, soaking up the sunshine, and, of course, chasing lizards! He’s a little guy who knows how to enjoy the simple things in life.
Training & Manners: Beary is a well-mannered little gentleman. He has good basic manners, walks nicely on a leash, and sleeps in the people bed at night. He does well with his housetraining.
Health & Care: Like most Yorkies, Beary will require regular brushing and occasional trips to the groomer to keep his coat looking and feeling its best. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He also recently had a dental cleaning.
Other Animals: Beary interacts well with other dogs and wouldn’t mind having some canine siblings to share his home with. He has not yet been introduced to cats, so his compatibility with feline roommates would need to be evaluated.
Children: Beary has never been around children, but older, respectful kids may be a good fit.
Ideal Home: A single-family home, townhome, or apartment would all be suitable for Beary. He is fairly quiet and typically only barks when he wants something, and he has good house manners. More than anything, he is looking for a family with lots of love to give and a soft spot for a little guy with a BIG personality.
Overall: Beary is an inquisitive, gentle, playful little guy who is the perfect combination of sweet and spunky. He would love nothing more than to find a forever family where he can be their loyal companion and curl up beside them at the end of the day.
