Story
Hi!  I’m Tammy, a 2-year-old, 14-lb Yorkshire Terrier blend! I might be part kangaroo, too, because I’ll leap, snuggle, wiggle, dance, and skip my way into your heart. General Behavior:  Tammy is a sweet, silly girl who will be your shadow and who will keep you laughing. She loves to snuggle and would love for someone to chase her in the backyard. She can also be a bit timid around noises and is afraid of the dark. Because Tammy is so sensitive to noises, a calm household would be ideal, with someone who can keep a close eye on her when she gets scared. Likes & Dislikes: Tammy loves to run and play in the backyard. Training: Tammy has the makings of a little lady! She has even started to learn “sit”. She is housetrained if let out frequently. In the car, she needs a seat belt because she is very wiggly and she needs to work on some basic manners, such as her fear of noises. After a long day of playing and snuggles, she will sleep through the night in her dog bed. Medical:  Long term, Tammy will only need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals:  Tammy would like to keep her person all to herself and would do best as the only dog in a home. Children:  This timid gal needs a calm, quiet, adults-only home. Home: This shy sweetheart would do best in a house with a tall fence. She loves to jump and to run around in the backyard but is easily scared of noises. When she gets scared, she tries to run. Grooming: Tammy will need regular brushing and occasional professional grooming. Overall: Tammy will make a wonderful, loving companion for a kind, patient, active family. Does Tammy sound terrific? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed, and she has just had her teeth cleaned.  Her adoption donation is $400. ##2380458##

Story
Kerfuffle is an 11-pound, 9-year-old Yorkie mix. Though he’s a bit scared and cautious right now, with patience and kindness, Kerfuffle will warm up to you on his own terms. Once he trusts you, this sweet little guy will keep your lap warm and your hands busy because he loves belly rubs. He’s also a great snuggler and will keep you entertained with his charming personality. Kerfuffle needs a patient and loving home that can give him the time he needs to adjust and feel safe. He does have his momments when he is nippy, so no young children for him. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $200 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org.  ##2253121##

Story
Meet Kevin! This adorable 8-month-old Maltese-Terrier blend weighs a perfect 18 lbs of pure cuteness.   General Behavior: Kevin is the ideal companion—sometimes a relaxed couch buddy, other times a playful ball of energy. One thing’s for sure: he’ll do anything for a treat!   Likes & Dislikes: Kevin absolutely LOVES his walks and enjoys running around in a fenced yard. He’s not too fond of robotic vacuums (who can blame him?), but apart from that, he’s a pretty easygoing pup.   Training: Kevin is a smart little guy! He does well with his housetraining when let outside regularly and will let you know when it’s time to go. He walks well on a leash, rides nicely in the car, and greets his humans with the happiest tail wags when they come home.   Medical: Kevin is in great health! He’s up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. Like all dogs, he’ll just need monthly flea and heartworm prevention.   Other Animals: Kevin gets along well with dogs of all sizes. He hasn’t been tested with cats, but his foster believes he’d likely do well with them too.   Children: Kevin would do best in a home with older kids (ages 8-10+), but families who are experienced with active puppies would also be a great match for him.   Home: A single-family home would be best for this active and vocal puppy.  Grooming: Kevin will need regular brushing and occasional grooming to keep him looking his best.   Overall: Sweet and friendly Kevin is ready to bring joy, cuddles, and wagging tails to a lucky family. He’s looking for a forever home where he’ll be loved, walked, and spoiled—just as he deserves!   Has Kevin won your heart? He’s waiting for you! Head over to  www.poodleandpoochrescue.org where you’ll find the application to adopt. He’s up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered.  His adoption donation is $500 ##2300192##
