Apply to Adopt Me! Pie is an approx. 8yo, 10lb. male Yorkshire Terrier who found himself as a scared, matted stray in a shelter. He was very happy once he was out of the shelter environment and in a loving foster home, but was still leery about trusting people. His foster mom has been very patient with him, not putting pressure on him, and giving him time to decompress. Pie is learning that getting pets is a good thing. He is doing very well with going potty outside as long as he is taken out often, and he has begun to let his foster mom know when he needs to go out, as well as when it is his dinner time. He has his open crate available for his safe space.  He was very scared at first of being leashed and is still learning, but is doing much better with allowing to harnes, but it's best if he has a small fenced space in which to go potty. Pie hasn't shown interest in toys yet, but takes treats gently which help him with learning new things. His activity level is low to moderate, enjoying quiet time in a comfy bed.  He ignores other dogs and although he hasn't been around cats while with our rescue, we believe he would probably ignore them too. Due to his small size and timid nature, an adult-only home is required.  Pie needs a patient adopter who will give him all the time he needs to settle in. We don't know what he has been through in his past, but we want to make sure his future is filled with patience, love and routine. Apply to Adopt Me! NOTE: Bear and Chanel are bonded and must be adopted together. Meet Bear and Chanel, a bonded little family of mom and son who truly love each other! They were surrendered to Lil Rascals by their owner because she didn’t want to care for them any longer after having them their entire lives. Bear is an 8-year-old possible Maltese mix and weighs 14 pounds. He is such a sweet boy. He is a quiet and gentle and loving little soul. He loves to sit close to you while watching TV and asks for belly rubs. He is always ready for a snack. Bear loves to go on walks with his mom and they walk great together. Sometimes they bark at other dogs on the walk but Bear is a good little listener. Bear loves to play with squeaky toys. Bear is house trained and sits quietly with his mom on car rides and also sleeps quietly all night beside Chanel in their foster mom’s bedroom. He gets along with all his fur siblings and loves people and would love to find a quiet home with Chanel. Meet Chanel and Bear, a bonded little family of mom and son who truly love each other!  They were surrendered to Lil Rascals by their owner because she didn’t want to care for them any longer after having them their entire lives.  Chanel is an almost 10-year-old possible Maltese mix that weighs 12 pounds. She is the absolute boss of her son Bear, and she loves him dearly. She is such a sweet girl with a lot of personality. She is good with baths, and loves to rub on the grass to dry herself. She is so adorable and affectionate, and gets along with all her fur siblings. Chanel loves to play with squeaky toys. She is house trained and is great on walks with Bear by her side, and is also good on car rides. Chanel sleeps quietly all night in their foster mom‘s bedroom. She barks when the doorbell rings, but is quick to quiet when she is told.
