Rico is three years old and his birthdate is September 18th, 2022. Yorkie and Chihuahua He is very sweet but does not get along with our other dog. We think he would benefit from being the only dog in a household, or simply be with a different dog breed. He is very loving, playful, and loves belly rubs. He is expressive, and loves being outside too.

Meet Tuffy! He is a handsome Yorkie mix who is 3.5 months old. Weighing in at 5 pounds, he is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative/on prevention, neutered, and microchipped. He’s working hard on potty training and does well with a potty pad. A snuggler, he is shy but learning to play. He gets along with the other small dogs in his foster home as well as cats! He can be barky at times so probably not a good fit for apartment living. Keep in mind he is a puppy, so he will require dedicated time for continued training. Sounds like a good fit? Here’s what to keep in mind: His adoption fee is $500. Our foster group is located in the south suburbs of Chicago and we serve that general area. We do not ship dogs. Head over to http://www.heathersfosterdogs.org to fill out your application online. It will be forwarded to Tuffy’s foster mom, who will reach out. Meet adorable Ivan, an 8 month old, 8 pound neutered Yorkie/Shih Tzu Mix. Ivan is a curious and playful dog who loves to explore and have fun. Despite his shyness, once he warms up, he’s all about cuddles and games. Ivan is housetrained, though he appreciates gentle reminders. He is also potty pad trained. His energetic and funny nature makes every day brighter. Whether it’s a game of fetch or a quiet evening snuggled up, Ivan is ready to be a loving companion. Ivan is good with kids but he can be a bit nippy with those puppy nibbles. Respectful kids over age 8 would be best. Ivan does not appear to be suited for an apartment since he will let everyone know if he hears anything. Ivan also gets along great with the other small dogs in his foster home. However it can take him a few days to warm up. Cat compatibility is unknown. Adopt Ivan and discover the joy of a forever playful and affectionate friend. Ivan’s adoption fee $495.
