Story
Here is Meet Mocha! She is a beautiful, 8-year-old Maltese/Yorkie mix weighing about 10 pounds. She has brought so much love to her current family, but we are looking to find her a wonderful new home where she can get the exact kind of attention and environment she thrives in. She is fully potty trained and will ask to go outside. Mocha is loves to cuddle on the couch and go on walks. She is up to date on her rabies. She is a non-shedding/low-shedding mix, so she will need regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and mat-free. If you are looking for a loyal, gentle, energetic, and affectionate companion to share your days with, Mocha might be your perfect match!

🐾 Meet Gidget-Tiny Morkie Baby - Tiny Paws, Big Hearts 🐾 (More photos can be seen at www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org) Meet our adorable little Gidget! Their mama is a Yorkie/Maltese weighing approximately 8 pounds, and their daddy is a pure bred Yorkie weighing approximately 6 pounds. Both parents have adorable baby doll faces, and these little ones appear to be taking right after them! At their recent weigh-in, these tiny fluff balls weighed only around 2 pounds. They are expected to stay very small and will grow into tiny little lap dogs that fit perfectly into your arms, and eventually directly into your heart. (I bet she is already there though from just her cute photo..Shes extremely photogenic ha) These babies are exactly what you'd imagine: little hoppers, little lickers, little cuddlebugs, and tiny cotton balls full of personality. They are sweet, affectionate, playful, and absolutely love attention. Now for the important part, because cute comes with responsibility. Morkies are considered a high-maintenance breed mix, and potential adopters should be prepared for the grooming and care they require. These are not "take home and forget about it" dogs. Proper care includes: 🐾 Regular grooming appointments 🐾 Brushing and coat maintenance to prevent matting 🐾 Keeping hair trimmed around the eyes for comfort and visibility 🐾 Routine ear cleaning 🐾 Keeping sanitary areas clean and maintained 🐾 Ongoing coat care and maintenance throughout life With proper care, these little dogs are incredible companions and affectionate little shadows that love being with their people. 💙 Adoption Fee Information 💙 Our standard adoption fee is $485; however, for these puppies the adoption fee is $950. We believe in being transparent about why. Tails of the Forgotten Paws is not only an adoption rescue. We also operate a sanctuary program, senior care program, hospice program, and provide lifelong care for animals with medical and behavioral needs. Many of these animals require surgeries, medications, special diets, and ongoing veterinary care, not to mention their monthly preventatives, food etc. On rare occasions when we receive highly sought-after small-breed, designer, or purebred puppies, we use those opportunities to help support the animals who may never receive applications of their own. While similar puppies through breeders commonly reach $2,000 or more, these puppies are being adopted through rescue, and every dollar stays within the mission. Your adoption fee is not creating profit, it directly helps provide food, medical care, medications, surgeries, and support for sanctuary residents, seniors, and hospice/medical dogs. When you adopt one tiny puppy, you're helping many forgotten animals receive the care they deserve. One little puppy can help many others. 🐾 What We Are Looking For Because these puppies are expected to remain extremely tiny and delicate, we are looking for homes that best fit their long-term safety and needs. Ideal homes for these little ones include: 🐾 Retired adopters or individuals who work from home / are home frequently 🐾 Calm, quieter households 🐾 Homes without very young children 🐾 Homes without large, high-energy dogs We may consider homes with larger dogs if they are calm, well-mannered, gentle senior dogs with appropriate introductions. Please understand this is not a reflection on children or larger dogs. These babies are simply extremely tiny and fragile. Puppies of this size can be accidentally injured during normal play, roughhousing, jumping, falls, or even unintentional interactions due to their very small size. Our goal is always to set our dogs up for success and place them in homes where they can thrive safely for life. If interested in adopting one of these adorable little fluff balls, please complete our adoption application. The application is always the first step in our adoption process. 🐾

Story
Clark is a sweet, loyal dog. He is a 7 year old shmorkie who we got at 2 weeks old. Clark gets along well with our 11 year old Shih Tzu, but dogs he is unfamiliar with, he will bark and be unfriendly. When we had our twins in 2021 Clark began being more anxious where he would hide under the bed/behind the couch and have uncharacteristic accidents in the house. We figured as the kids grew up Clark’s behavior would change, but he is still a very anxious and not his old self. We also moved from a 4 bedroom house with a big fenced in yard to a condominium with much less space. We love Clark and want him to have a happy life, so we’ve decided to rehome him. Clark would thrive in a situation with no kids as the only animal. He needs space, preferably a yard to run around and just lay in the sun.
