Buster just turned 4 years old and is a 'MORKIE' - Maltese and Yorkshire Terrie 6.4 lbs with a healthy goal weight of 7 lbs - he has curly white and tan fur. Due to breed - he will require extensive grooming! Regular trips to the Salon Buster is fostered with cats, small dogs and big dogs. He loves attention and sitting on his foster mom's lap. He is talkative - yippie and barky, always got something to say. Buster is playful and passive with other dogs, enjoys having playdates and being part of the party. This breed has a Life Expectancy is 10-15 years. We are seeking a committed family for this little dude. Buster came to rescue with two dog siblings after his elderly owners could not afford to care for them and taken to a small shelter. The Animal Control Officer contacted CCR and requested help - the dogs were neglected, dirty and not housetrained. They were clearly loved but owners started to struggle to care for themselves and the pets. Buster is now up to date on vaccines, dewormed for gut health, microchipped and neutered. He tested negative for heartworms and is on prevention. He has a birthday of 02/05/2022 and was purchased from a pet store. *Rescue does not complete DNA testing. Breed is based on documentation provided from the original purchase from a pet store - pet stores source from puppy mills and are not typically ethical, breed is not always accurate. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. Cute, little Vincent was found with his yorkie pal (Sara Connor) roaming the streets of Chicago. They were brought to CACC and we just couldn't resist their precious faces so we made them Heartland dogs! Vincent has been living in a foster home the last few weeks and he is now ready to transition to his permanent family! He is currently living with two cat siblings and does great with them! It is funny because the cats are quite a bit bigger than this 8.5 lb little man. Vincent isn't very interested in toys, but he LOVES blankets. He will burrow in them, throw them around, roll around in them, blankets are his jam and it is so cute to watch him play in them! He also loves to be held, carried, worn in a sling...as long as he is with you, he is perfectly content! Here is what his foster mom had to share about him. "Meet Vincent, a charming 6-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a heart of gold! This sweet boy is the ultimate lap companion, always ready to snuggle up and share his affection. Vincent loves to follow you around, making sure he's never far from your side, yet he's patient enough to wait when you need to focus on tasks. In just a short time, he's already mastered the command to sit and is making great strides in leash training. His eagerness to please makes him very trainable, and he's excited to learn even more. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, Vincent is your perfect match! Come meet him and see how he can brighten your days!" Vincent’s adoption fee is $375. Jacks is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Scroll through his pictures to see his cute video content! Jacks come to us all the way from Alabama, via one of our contacts at a shelter we partner with down there. A woman who used to breed Yorkies reached out to the local vet when she became ill and was no longer able to care for some of the dogs she still had at home. Our contact was able to take Jacks in, and since some other dogs were making the journey to us, Jacks came along for the ride! He is obviously gorgeous, and he is very sweet and affectionate with everyone he meets. Jacks was raised around dogs, so he is great with dogs and is currently rooming with Fruit Snacks, and they make quite the funny pair! Jacks is a typical young pup-- he likes treats, stuffies, and pets and attention. One thing Jacks does not like quite yet is going for a walk on the leash! We can't blame him, as we do not think he had ever really been on one. It takes some getting used to, but we are pretty used to southern dogs who are not familiar with the concept, and we know he will be a pro after a couple of days and some positive reinforcement! This young man has a whole lot going for him, but the one thing he really needs right now is a loving home. We hope it is with you. Please ask about Jacks today! Jacks's adoption fee is $375.
