Story
Bear is deeply loyal and forms strong bonds with his person. He is naturally protective and will alert you to visitors or deliveries, making him both a devoted companion and a great watchdog. He enjoys daily walks, staying close to his human, and relaxing on the couch for cuddle time. He also has a playful side and especially loves squeaky toys. Bear would be happiest as the only pet in the home, where he can receive all the attention and build a strong, secure bond. He tends to connect most comfortably with female owners and can be slow to warm up to new people, particularly men. With patience and consistency, he builds deep trust and becomes incredibly affectionate. Bear does experience anxiety related to his past, but he is currently on medication that helps him significantly. He will do best in a calm, stable home with someone who works remotely/retired/stay at home. Bear is 8 years old, up to date on vaccines, excellent health, and very, very active for an 8-year-old!

Story
Baxter was left on our doorstep a few years ago. We love him dearly but we can no longer financially support him or offer the time and attention he deserves. He is very sweet, loves people of all ages and sizes. Gets along very well with other dogs. In sure of cats or other animals but he has never chased a stray cat or bunny. He does like to run but always comes back. We just want him to go to a loving home.
