Story
Romy has a lot of choices to make - which toy to play with, whether to lie next to or on her sister (Michelle), what way to hold her ears. By comparison, she thinks your one decision should be easy - adopt her! She is a curious girl who really wants to know what your home is like. Is it filled with toys? Will you teach her all about life using yummy treats? Will you admire her delicate muzzle with its adorable underbite? She is working on her basic training so that she will be ready.   ~  Est DOB: Jun 2023  ~  Est weight:  28# @ 8 mo~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlFebruary 19, 2024, 12:40 pm

Nina is a little shiny diamond-in-the-ruff. Her cuteness bursts out in a her prancey walk, sweet smiles, and adoration of toys! Once all her sniffing is done, she gets little silly playful spells and shows her youthful side. Tho a little bossy with some dogs, she can come around and play well with the right companion to teach her. This little beauty needs a home to give her just the right polish.   ~  Est DOB:  April 2016   ~  Est weight:  35#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlFebruary 19, 2024, 12:40 pm

Jim Bob is a 1 year old brindle boy with the cutest ears and white spotted chest and feet. He weighs 35 lbs right now and we think they may have  Mountain Curr/ Cattle dog/ Plott Hound/ and Lab in them but it is hard to say other than that they are cute! Jim Bob showed up on a farm with his brother and sister and they fostered them until room opened up at the rescue. They are good around farm animals and have learned house and leash manners since being at the rescue. He is good with cats, kids and dogs. Jim Bob is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative, and dewormed! His adoption fee is $250.February 18, 2024, 11:45 pm

Story
Sure, you've heard it before. 'He's just the biggest baby.' But this is Neptune, and he is THE *biggest* baby! He is a slow-intros kindof a boy, because he needs a lot of babying and reassurance before he lets his true self shine. Then he becomes the king of goofy grins and silly sweetness. With his nice manners and housetraining, Neptune is all set to be your handsomest housemate (which is great, because being left outside alone gives this big baby the blues).  A quiet fellow, he lets his smile and his charm do his speaking for him. Once you are best buds, he'll even let you dress him like a baby doll (cuz he's such a  doll baby!).  He likes other dogs but is terrified of those untrustworthy cats.   ~  DOB:7/15/2020  ~  Intake weight: 53#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.html  February 19, 2024, 12:40 pm

Story
Bring treats when you meet Jessica, and you will quickly have a pretty, entertaining, and snuggly best friend. She doesn't have much use for toys, but does enjoy being outdoors sharing time with you. She already has nice manners, but is smart enough to learn more - especially when it means extra treats! She already responds to sit, crates nicely, and is decent on leash. You know when she is happy by her little dance, endearing smile, and the sparkle in her beautiful gold eyes. Jessica is a little jumpy at quick movements, so we suggest no kids at that erratic age. She has done well with other dogs at the shelter who don't mind her play acrobatics. She does need an extra tall or solid fence and no cats, as her athleticism gets the better of her in both situations.    ~  Est DOB:  Sep 2020 ~  Intake weight:  47# (but tall)~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlFebruary 19, 2024, 12:40 pm

Story
Draco may be the best Eeyore impersonator we've met! Those eyes tell of an old soul. His past life may not have given him much joy, but he now has a new chance at a better life! A low-energy and humble fellow, Draco is easy on a leash and loves to lean against his favorite people. No need to worry about silly puppy antics - he is a cool and calm customer. Draco likes the lady dogs, but wants to be the handsomest (only) boy in the home. So far, he hasn't shown an interest in toys or play. Like to watch the world go by? Watching is better with Draco by your side.   ~  All dogs will be spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter~  Est DOB:  Aug 2019 ~  Intake weight: 75# ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlFebruary 19, 2024, 12:40 pm
