Story
Nina is a little shiny diamond-in-the-ruff. Her cuteness bursts out in a her prancey walk, sweet smiles, and adoration of toys! Once all her sniffing is done, she gets little silly playful spells and shows her youthful side. Tho a little bossy with some dogs, she can come around and play well with the right companion to teach her. This little beauty needs a home to give her just the right polish.   ~  Est DOB:  April 2016   ~  Est weight:  35#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Gia is a female Cur mix, who is a little shy and very sweet! She is initially reserved when meeting someone new, so it may take a little time for her to warm up. But after a short walk, Gia rewards you with a HUGE smile! Once she knows you, she will also lay her head in your lap while resting together, as well as roll over for belly rubs. At that point, you know you have won her love (and vice versa!). Gia has the cutest floppy ears, which bounce along while she walks with you. She is a fairly laid back and mellow girl, who enjoys spending her time in the park walking around and exploring scents. Gia seems to like other dogs, and will sweetly greet them through the chain link fence. She is also good on a leash, and makes a great walking companion. This beautiful girl has been patiently waiting to find her furever home, where she can feel loved and cherished. Please go meet her soon! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . Rosita or also known as Rosie is the mother to eight other dogs that were surrendered to the shelter to be euthanized. Luckily someone was at the shelter and heard what was happening and stepped up to save them all! Rosita is a very sweet and affectionate girl and  deserves to live a happy life with someone that will give her the love and attention she deserves. Rosie loves hanging out with her humans and would love a nice warm home to spend her days lounging around inside. She just loves going on her daily walks. She rides very well in a car or just sitting with her humans. She has gone to adoption events and is very well mannered Rosie is spayed, up to date on all her shots and has been started on monthly prevention for fleas/ticks/heartworms and parasites. Five of her puppies have found forever homes and now its her turn to find a loving family. Could that be you? We think Rosie would do great as an only dog in the home or one other dog for companionship. She would make a great companion for someone that is home-bound and would not require daily walks if unable to take her out. She does do very well on a leash however. Please fill out an application to adopt @ https://www.ffosk9resq.org/    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   July 11, 2024, 3:59 pm

Yeah yeah, he shares a name with that famous book dog. But unlike him, our Marley is past the puppy nonsense and already has his basic manners and play skills down pat (well...keeping it real...he can't catch worth anything!). But just like that other Marley, our boy is looking for that home that will stay true, through thick or thin, for better or worse.  ~  Est DOB: May 2014 ~  Est weight:  60#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Snuggle. Bunny. Yes, we know Luna is in fact a dog, but we just consider that a bonus! You won't need to file her teeth and good-mannered Luna is much less likely to chew your electrical cords (tho she can hop a fence).  She is much easier to take on walks, tho she thinks cardio is over-rated. This low-key girl much prefers your lap. Thoughtful to a fault, she knows there is no room in that lap for other critters, so asks to be your only snuggle bunny. ~  Est DOB: Mar 2018~  Intake weight:  49#  ~  Adoption details/application: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Sure, you've heard it before. 'He's just the biggest baby.' But this is Neptune, and he is THE *biggest* baby! He is a slow-intros kindof a boy, because he needs a lot of babying and reassurance before he lets his true self shine. Then he becomes the king of goofy grins and silly sweetness. With his nice manners and housetraining, Neptune is all set to be your handsomest housemate (which is great, because being left outside alone gives this big baby the blues).  A quiet fellow, he lets his smile and his charm do his speaking for him. Once you are best buds, he'll even let you dress him like a baby doll (cuz he's such a  doll baby!).  He likes other dogs but is terrified of those untrustworthy cats.   ~  DOB:7/15/2020  ~  Intake weight: 53#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.html  July 23, 2024, 11:58 am
