Story
Gilbert is a charming boy ready for a fresh start in life! At first, Gilbert might be a little shy (new faces can be scary when you haven’t always known kindness), but don’t let that fool you! Gilbert warms up quickly and once he does, his personality shines. Give him a few treats and a little patience, and you’ll have a happy, playful boy who just wants to be close to his people. After a long day of playing with his favorite human and toy, Gilbert is happy to curl up beside you. Gilbert would do best as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself and and show just how special he is. Pointer Shepherd (Unknown Type)

Details
Not good with kids, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Candy has a unique look - unless you count her nearly identical sisters! These distinctive girls have ears the better to hear you with and tails that act like rudders when they run - and they are built to run, athletic and active. Intelligent and sensitive, the girls are overwhelmed at the confusing shelter and need time to understand new situations. Having been abandoned and on their own, they are just cautious like that. Candy is a bit more of a free thinker than her sisters. She knows what she wants, and while mostly she wants treats, she also wants some independence. She is the last one to learn 'sit' (didn't wanna!), but does walk nicely on leash and crates up when asked. She is more ready to explore and do her thing. Still, she wants to enter into a fair relationship with new people who are respectful and looking for a partner, not a baby. She has struggled to make new dog friends at the shelter, mainly because of the environment - she has been fine in less stressful situations. Story
Sure, you've heard it before. 'He's just the biggest baby.' But this is Neptune, and he is THE *biggest* baby! He is a slow-intros kindof a boy, because he needs a lot of babying and reassurance before he lets his true self shine. Then he becomes the king of goofy grins and silly sweetness. With his nice manners and housetraining, Neptune is all set to be your handsomest housemate (which is great, because being left outside alone gives this big baby the blues).  A quiet fellow, he lets his smile and his charm do his speaking for him. Once you are best buds, he'll even let you dress him like a baby doll (cuz he's such a  doll baby!).    ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  DOB:7/15/2020  ~  Intake weight: 53#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.html  November 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

Sandy in particular has a big 'stranger danger bark,' but don't let that deter you. She is just asking you to slow your roll and take this friendship-building at her pace. Yummy smelly treats are on her 'yes' list! She is very loyal to her friends and looks to her people for support. She learns quick, knows sit and has good crate and leash manners. She has struggled to make new dog friends at the shelter, mainly because of the environment - she has been fine in less stressful situations.
