Cookie has a horrible story to tell. She has grown up outside. As she became older, she lived life chained to her dog house. She was bred by a stray male dog while she was on a chain and survived the January snow storm while on a chain. Rescue stepped in to get her spayed and fully vetted. She was boarded at the clinic to recover. During this time, everyone realized how absolutely sweet & smart she is! We would love to find her a forever home. Cookie is just over a year old and weighs 49 lbs. She is house and crate trained and uses a doggy door well. She is great with other dogs and kids. Cats unknown at this time. She was very curious about the clinic cats so may not have been around them before. She is ok on a leash but still learning about that. She is not a resource guarder but can be a counter surfer. She’s not big on toys just yet but loves chew bones! She is shy at first but is learning so many new things and is doing great! Please consider giving Cookie a happy ending to her story. Libby was living in a very unsafe environment with no medical care and had a couple litters of puppies that she tried desperately to raise. She is nervous and unsure if people are safe yet but she is gentle and is tolerating a lot of handling. She wants to be loved and just needs some Time! She’s heartworm negative and is fully vetted. Her right eye is a “cracked” eye with one side of the eyeball being brown and the other side blue. She’s beautiful and deserves her chance at a real home.

Some stories begin with heartbreak. When the Sheriff's Office called us about a litter of tiny puppies found alongside their mother who had been struck by a car, we knew we had to help. These babies had lost the one thing every puppy depends on most, but they weren't alone for long. Wags of Hope stepped in, and the pups quickly found safety, love, and a second chance. As quickly as they came into rescue, most of the litter found wonderful homes and started their new lives. Today, only Miss Kay and Maggie remain, patiently waiting for families of their own. They have come so far, and we know their happily-ever-after is just around the corner. ❤️

Sarah was the most severely emotionally damaged dog we pulled out of the felony animal cruelty case in Jacksonville, AR on April 12, 2025. She was absolutely in fight or flight mode. She does have a human bite history from when an animal control officer surprised her by coming up behind her and grabbing her hips to try and lift her into the vehicle. She was focused on me who had her leash and was not expecting them to touch her. After a mandatory bite quarantine we had a professional behavioral assessment done. They expressed her reactions are all fear based. She is not aggressive but she does have certain triggers that make her absolutely terrified. Once a solid bond of trust is established, like I have made with her, she can be worked with. She is highly food motivated (which makes sense after being starved to near death in a tiny bedroom with 20 other dogs) and that can be used to form the bond. She is very soft and accepts pets once she trusts you. She is potty pad trained! We’re working on walking on a leash. Something about having a collar put over her head terrifies her and we’re still working on that. I’ve been able to bathe her and pick her up and crate her and get her to the vet. She has had all her shots and been spayed and microchipped. Any interested adopter will need to be willing to go slow and put in the work and agree to not put her into a situation that she’s likely to fail. I’ve worked too hard on her to go backwards from someone else not being careful. She’s a special dog to me and has boatloads of potential.
