Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.**   Meet Elmo, a 13-week-old brindle pup, mountain cur mix (DOB 09/05/25)with a big appetite, an even bigger heart, and a curious, playful spirit. He is wonderful with small children (toddlers), loves to run full sprint outdoors, and is always up for stretching his legs before settling in for a snuggle. Elmo is obedient, highly trainable, and already pee-pad trained with a consistent outdoor potty routine, making him refreshingly predictable for a puppy his age. He enjoys resting in his own bed and can easily be taught to stay off furniture if that’s your preference. While he’s still a little unsure about cars (toys and bikes included) and anything with wheels, Elmo’s sweet, adaptable nature makes him a joy to guide as he grows. Elmo’s adoption fee is $400.  This includes age appropriate vaccines, completed wellness visit and neuter at one of our contracted vets at 6 months of age.  *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Story
Hi, I'm Jessie! Thanks for checking me out! I know my cute face is hard to resist, but here's the scoop: I'll need a lot of your time and attention as I grow up into the amazing adult dog I'm destined to be! I'm looking for a forever family that will help me with socialization, training (yes, that includes house training!), and plenty of exercise. And let's not forget the chewing and teething-I'm still learning what's okay (and what's definitely not okay) to put in my mouth. So, be ready for some puppy-proofing! Don't forget those vet visits! I'll need to stay up to date on my boosters and vaccines, which means a few trips to see my favorite vet in the first few months. But trust me, all that effort will be worth it when you experience the endless love, puppy kisses, and pure joy I'll bring into your life. So, if you're up for the challenge and the fun, why not come meet me in person? Stop by during our adoption hours. For more details, email info@ahconnects.org or give us a call at 847-697-2880 x: 0. The friendly folks here will be happy to answer all your questions! Can't wait to meet you and start our adventure together! All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
