Name: Fiona Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog / Shepherd Mix Gender: Female DOB: 10/16/2025 Fiona is a lively, happy Catahoula Leopard Dog/Shepherd mix with a whole lot of puppy energy packed into her little body. She’s playful, curious, and always ready to turn everyday moments into something fun — whether that’s chasing toys, exploring her surroundings, or bouncing over for attention. This girl loves being around people and is eager to learn. Fiona’s mix of intelligence and enthusiasm means she’ll do best in a home ready to keep her mind and body busy with positive training, playtime, and new experiences. She’s still very much a puppy and will need guidance, patience, and consistency as she grows. Fiona is looking for a family who’s excited for all the best parts of puppyhood — the zoomies, the learning curves, the laughs, and the big personality that’s still unfolding. With the right outlet for her energy and plenty of love, Fiona is going to be an amazing companion. If you’re ready for a smart, spirited pup who will keep life fun and active, Fiona might be your perfect match. Story
Meet Dasha 💕 Dasha is a gentle, loving soul who’s ready to start her next chapter as the center of someone’s world. In her past, she was a devoted mama who raised many puppies, and now it’s her turn to be spoiled and cherished in a forever home. This sweet girl has a soft spot for the good things in life—especially liver sausage, squeaky stuffy toys, and long, leisurely sniffy strolls through stores where she can carefully select her very favorite toys. She enjoys taking her time, soaking in all the smells, and savoring each little adventure. Dasha is fully potty trained and would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where she can relax, feel safe, and enjoy the love she so deeply deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a nurturing heart and a playful side, Dasha is ready to live her best life right by your side. 🐾💖 When Dasha arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Louisiana, she tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm positive dogs like her to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours. If you choose to adopt her, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep her safe while she recovers. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after her treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that she will fully recover! Yeah! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes. Stop in and meet her cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email bloomingdale@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 90, and the staff will be happy to help you. All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

Meet Brave 💛 Brave is doing great and growing into an absolutely wonderful puppy! He is truly stunning, with a gorgeous black and brown coat highlighted by caramel brindling throughout, and beautiful brown/amber eyes that will completely steal your heart. Brave is currently working on crate training and potty training and is doing very well. He can confidently go up the stairs and is learning to go down the stairs with patience and encouragement. He eats and drinks well and is settling nicely into a daily routine. This sweet boy has the gentlest soul. Brave is kind, loving, and extremely cuddly—his favorite place is curled up on your lap, fast asleep. He is very content being around his foster family, including two kids, two dogs, and two cats, making him a great candidate for a home with other pets. He enjoys playing outside with the dogs and loves his soft puppy toys. Brave has brought so much joy, warmth, and love to everyone around him, and he is more than ready to find his forever family who will continue to help him grow and thrive. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate puppy to add to your family, Brave may be the perfect match 🐾💙 Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours.
