Ziggy is also very cuddly with his human and his dog walker. He loves to play tug-of-war and run very fast. Ziggy is reactive and leaps up on people, even after taking his medications for anxiety. He has a prior bite record when he was in a traumatizing situation before coming to our home. Ziggy loves to run, and run, and run! He would stay outside all day if you let him. He is very loyal and protective of his owner, following her everywhere.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.**   Meet Elmo, a brindle pup, mountain cur mix (DOB 09/05/25)with a big appetite, an even bigger heart, and a curious, playful spirit. He loves to run full sprint outdoors, and is always up for stretching his legs before settling in for a snuggle. Elmo is obedient, highly trainable, and already pee-pad trained with a consistent outdoor potty routine, making him refreshingly predictable for a puppy his age. He enjoys resting in his own bed and can easily be taught to stay off furniture if that’s your preference. While he’s still a little unsure about cars (toys and bikes included) and anything with wheels, Elmo’s sweet, adaptable nature makes him a joy to guide as he grows. Elmo will need an adopter who is dedicated to proper training and socialization to ensure he grows to be a good canine citizen Elmo’s adoption fee is $400.  This includes age appropriate vaccines, completed wellness visit and neuter at one of our contracted vets at 6 months of age.  *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. Jumbo was brought in with other puppies found as strays. He is a wonderful boy!! Friendly, happy and just a gentle pup. He gets along with other pups and has no issues with strangers or kids. He is curious and likes to see what's going on. He is learning how to use a dog door but will need puppy training. He is ready to find a forever family.

Born: August 22, 2025 I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $450 Meet Grizzly, a cheerful, bouncy pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Even at his young age, this smart boy already knows “sit,” “down,” and “touch”—he’s eager to learn and loves showing off his skills.  Grizzly is still working on his potty training but is making great progress and will use a pee pad. He absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion or regular doggy friends.  Full of energy, love, and puppy charm, Grizzly is ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of tail wags to his forever family! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Luke is so endearing with his sweet personality and cute underbite! He is approximately 6-7 years old and weighs between 40-15lbs.  Rescue partner foster update:   Luke is friendly and well mannered, good with people and dogs, but no cats. He loves going for walks and is a calm and 'chill' dog! He sadly lost his home when his family decided having a baby on the way and a dog was too much work. He steals the hearts of all who meets him!  We always recommend training for all our dogs!    **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent. **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Meet Whimsey! Female 1 year old 30 pounds Good with cats & dogs Whimsey is a pocket-sized bundle of joy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This sweet girl is ready to find her true forever home. She was previously adopted from Safe Haven and returned through no fault of her own—sometimes the right match just takes a little time! Whimsey is incredibly smart and loves to learn. She already knows 15+ commands, has started in agility and scentwork classes, and is working hard in obedience training—pretty impressive for such a young pup! She’s still polishing her leash manners and crate skills, but she’s working hard every day to become the goodest girl. She is fully potty trained and does a great job alerting when she needs to go outside. She loves fetch—though she’s still perfecting the “bring it back” part. This energetic little lady would thrive in an active home, especially one interested in dog sports, running, biking, or any activity that keeps her brain and body busy. Mental stimulation is key for Whimsey—she’s clever, curious, and always ready for her next challenge! Personal space? Never heard of it. Whimsey is a certified lap dog who loves being close to her people. She adores playing with other dogs and is always up for wrestling, tug, or zoomies. She plays submissively in groups and does wonderfully with canine friends. Her favorite game with friends is chase and this speed demon can out run most everyone. She’s also curious about the cats in her foster home and enjoys following them around, but she’s respectful and backs off when they let her know they need space. Because Whimsey is young, smart, and has a very talented nose (she will sniff out anything left on the floor), she would do best in a home with older children or adults who can keep her safely stimulated and engaged. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, sporty, and endlessly entertaining companion, Whimsey just might be your perfect match Our standard adoption fee is $465. We offer a $15 discount for adopters who pay by cash or check, making the adoption fee $450. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal test, deworming, current on flea and tick preventative, and microchip. To ensure the best match for both our dogs and adopters, we require a fully completed adoption application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with the entire household. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and does not obligate you to adopt; it simply allows us to begin the review process.
