Online Adoption Application › Canis and his littermates were born into the shelter environment and came into their foster home at 2 months. Canis and his brothers are 6 months now (DOB 9/17) and still in search of their forever families.  Canis' mom was a medium sized Husky and his father is a complete mystery, though we do suspect he was possibly a mountain curr / lab mix. They are expected to be medium sized fully grown. Canis has finished all round of his puppy vaccines. He is microchipped, neutered, and current on preventatives. Canis is working on crate and potty training he is a sweet and happy boy who can't wait to make your family complete. Canis would do best in a home with female dogs or no dogs (no male dogs). He gets very excited around cats.Visit care.rescuegroups.org to view his whole profile and fill out an application. Adoptions are processed electronically using card payment only. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2024, 10:02 pm

Story
Aspen is a sweet intelligent guy with some allergies that are controlled simply by diet. Aspen was adopted in 12/17 and returned 3/19 for a behavior change. Once back with us I reviewed all of his veterinary records from while he was in the home, the reasons he was seen and the multitude of times the family had boarded him in the short period he was with them. That explained a lot to me about this "behavior change". We put him on a special diet for allergies and have provided a stable environment for him, Aspen has been nothing but wonderful here just as he was in his foster home prior to the adoption in 12/17. He's a great dog, comical, loves to play, loves water and needs a "forever" home with out children, female canine companion only. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org Visits are scheduled by appointment only via emailing request to ownedbycaninesandlovit@yahoo.com   April 26, 2024, 11:34 am

Story
Katie, female Mt. Cur/Aussie mix, came to the rescue May of '22 when her owner passed away. Katie's d.o.b 6/4/19. She was heartworm positive which she was treated for after her spay. Katie will require a tall fence/privacy fence since she is able to climb (once she has lost some of the weight she has gained being confined during her HW treatment). Such a sweet girl, mom to Kadence, Kess & Kai, does well with other dogs, unknown on cats, size wise she is medium. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Story
Hi. My name is Darla. My foster parents also call me Little D. 💜 As much as I love hanging out with my foster family, I would love to find a family of my own. It’s been really fun having two dogs and 4 cats to play with. I play really well with big and small dogs. I have learned to stay clear of the kittie’s murder paws when they yell at me. Gotta love healthy boundaries. I currently hold the title of worlds best snuggler and I would really love to maintain it. It doesn’t take much to make me happy. I listen pretty well and am very treat motivated. Please share so I can find a family of my own. 💜 Catahoula mix 💜 Good with dogs, cats, and kids 💜 Almost a year old! 💜 Fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped 💜 Weighs about 40lbs 📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/secondchancespetsanctuarytx/Second-Chances-Adoption-Application 📍 Currently fostered in Indianapolis, IN
