Story
Kirsch is a 2 year old female Mountain Cur mix. She was rescued from shelter as time was running out for her. Kirsch is an affectionate, loving dog. She LOVES to play and most of the time, has a toy in her mouth. Kirsch likes to wrestle with other dogs her size and then crashes on the couch to recharge. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She would love an active family to match her energy, and because of that, she would do best with older children. She does need a fenced yard. Kirsch walks well on a leash and is both crate and house trained. Kirsch had a cherry eye on the left eye, which was surgically corrected, but it does occasionally become red. If you'd like to meet our gorgeous brindle girl, please contact us!     Thank you for your interest in adopting from HMF.  All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and otherwise healthy, unless noted in the description.  Our adoption area is within 50 miles of Franklin/Bargersville, IN. Story
Foster (or Adopt!) Pepper — Your Loyal Adventure Buddy Meet Pepper, a beautiful brindle mama who survived being found emaciated under a house in downtown Indy while caring for her six puppies. She’s healed, blossomed, and is ready for a home of her own. Why You’ll Love Her Pepper is incredibly affectionate—she’s never met a lap she didn’t want to curl into. She loves being close to her people and brings a sweet, enthusiastic energy to everything she does. Her Adventure Spirit Pepper adores exploring. She loves running through the woods, hopping excitedly when you spot her, as if saying, “You found me!” She would make a fantastic hiking and adventure partner. What Pepper Needs Pepper needs a patient family willing to help her continue learning, especially with leash manners (she walks like a weaving cat). She must have no access to cats or other small animals, and she’ll do best as your one-and-only pet—your loyal companion and devoted best friend. Quick Facts Kid-friendly (all ages) House & crate trained Spayed and vaccinated Plays well alone or with humans If you’re looking for an affectionate, quirky adventure buddy who will love you endlessly, Pepper might be your perfect match.
