Story
Our wonderful One-Eared Willie is truly a one-of-a-kind pup. Willie was brought to us after another dog ripped off his ear. That did not stop this clever canine from being full of life and seeking love. This silly goofball has become some of the volunteers’ favorite and knows how to grab everyone’s attention. He is addicted to belly rubs and will happily present his belly all day long to you, your kids, and any other bystanders who happen along. It’s truly delightful to see him throw himself upside-down at your feet, waiting patiently for pettin’s & lovin’s. Whether he’s been good or a little naughty he knows how to draw you in with a quick roll to his back and feet in the air. This boy’s favorite snack: a cheeseburger! He can devour one in the blink of an eye, no chewing required. Quite impressive. Food motivated is an understatement.  Willie is currently our longest-term resident. He has seen many of his kennel mates leave one by one while he sits and wonders when his turn will be next. If you’re looking for a constant companion who plays with enthusiasm then this is your guy. Trust us, Willie is worth it!  Adoption Fee: $200 The adoption fee includes your pet's: - Spay/Neuter - Annual Vaccines - Rabies - Microchipping If you are interested in learning more about or adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application here: http://www.gatewayareahumane.com/adopt-form.html NOTE: A completed application is required for all adoptions and prior to any visitations. Completing this application does not guarantee approval, nor does it obligate you to adopt if approved. All visits and adoptions are by appointment only. We do our best to ensure that the adoptable animals are in the best health possible, but you will need to take your pet to your regular vet to ensure complete health. Keep in mind that any pet is a lifelong commitment. When considering adoption, remember what life is like with work, school, hobbies, or kid's activities.
