Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I'm a good boy. No one who has visited the shelter in the past year has noticed me, but I'm a good boy! I was so scared when I came in after I was abandoned on a rural highway in our town. I was too afraid to come to the animal control officer when called, so they had to live trap me.. Then they sent me to the prison program where I learned to love my handler and I got along with the other 4 dogs in the program. Now when I see people I know happy to see you!  When I am with people I don't know, I am anxious and sometimes I don't show my sunny side (so no small children as I need my personal space at times), but when I see someone I know I am happy and joyful. The shelter staff says they can't bear that I've been with them a whole year. I walk well on lead and crate well. I will need a fence or some confinement when I am outside so I don't run off, but I am most comfortable on your couch anyway. I am not a barker. I jump up into the crate to travel and dance when you come to take me for a walk. I just need that one person who is willing to become my forever friend. Please take a chance on me.
