Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Unknown, likely yesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: Yes Louie is the total package—loving, loyal, and just the right amount of goofy. He’s the kind of dog who will keep you smiling all day and then curl up as close as possible at night (because in his mind, he’s absolutely a lap dog). Louie is always up for some playtime or zoomies, but he’s just as happy settling down for snuggles once he’s gotten it out of his system. His favorite place, without question, is right beside (or on top of) his people. With his affectionate nature and playful spirit, Louie brings a wonderful balance of fun and companionship to any home.Louie is a social butterfly who truly believes everyone is his friend. He greets other dogs without issue and enjoys spending time playing with his canine buddies, making him a great fit for a home with another dog or regular playmates. He has lived with cats for six months and mostly ignores them, though he may occasionally try to initiate play—he responds well to redirection when needed. While he hasn’t been fostered with children, his friendly and easygoing personality suggests he would likely do well with dog-savvy kids who can match his playful but affectionate nature.Louie is crate trained and can comfortably spend a few hours a day in his crate. He is fully housebroken and will stand by the door—or give a little bark—to let you know when he needs to go out. He walks well on leash and enjoys a routine that includes playtime, relaxation, and, of course, plenty of cuddles. Louie thrives with structure but also loves his freedom to lounge on the furniture and be part of the family. If you’re searching for a dog who can keep up with some fun but also melt into you at the end of the day, Louie is your lad! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Story
Meet Chewy, a 3-year-old, 52-pound Mountain Cur Terrier mix ready to find his happily ever after. For the first three years of his life, Chewy lived on a chain with barely any food or water. His only shelter was a broken-down shed where he spent his days in complete darkness until he was finally surrendered. Despite everything he's endured, Chewy is a sweet, gentle, dog-friendly sweetheart with a loving heart. All he wants is a safe family to show him what it means to be loved, spoiled, and truly home. Chewy comes to us from a shelter in West Virginia. He is fully vetted and is here at The Hotel. Breeds are best guess.
