Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cinnabon Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur Mix | ~8 weeks old This beautiful brindle girl is a confident, playful, and affectionate puppy with a soft, slightly fluffy coat and expressive eyes. She’s curious about the world, eager to engage, and loves both people and other dogs. She adapts quickly to new environments and takes changes in stride — a great sign of emotional resilience. She plays enthusiastically, then settles well, showing a natural balance that makes her a joy to be around. We believe she is an Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur mix, a combination that often produces loyal, intelligent dogs who form strong bonds with their families. She’s already showing those qualities — friendly, observant, and very people-oriented. This girl will thrive in a home that enjoys companionship, playtime, and connection. In return, she’ll grow into a loving, devoted family dog who wants to be included in daily life. If she sounds like the puppy you’ve been waiting for, please reach out and tell us a little about yourself. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Churro  Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur Mix | ~9 weeks old This handsome little guy is a happy, confident, and people-loving puppy with a sweet, easygoing nature. He’s playful and curious like any healthy pup, but he’s not over-the-top or chaotic — he has a really nice balance for his age. He adapts well to new situations, enjoys being around people, and does beautifully with other dogs. He’s being raised in a social environment and is learning excellent dog manners early on. After playtime, he’s content to settle in and relax — a wonderful trait that often carries into adulthood. We believe he is an Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur mix, a pairing known for intelligence, loyalty, and strong bonds with their people. He’s the kind of puppy who wants to be part of whatever you’re doing and will grow into a devoted, steady companion. This boy would be a great fit for someone looking for a smart, affectionate pup who enjoys interaction but also knows how to relax. If he’s caught your eye, we’d love to hear about your home and lifestyle. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Brody, a handsome little gentleman This sweet boy is around 10–11 weeks old and is blossoming more each day. When he first arrived, he was understandably frightened — but with the help of a calm, confident dog friend, he’s come beautifully out of his shell. What we’re seeing now is a gentle, thoughtful, and very kind puppy. We believe he may be a Mountain Cur / Catahoula mix — a combination known for intelligence, loyalty, and strong bonds with their people. These are dogs bred to be partners: steady, observant, and deeply connected to those they trust. Despite his unsure start, this little guy has shown a truly lovely temperament. He is exceptionally gentle, especially with two younger puppies he’s currently staying with. He reads other dogs well, adjusts his energy, and shows a natural kindness that you don’t see in every puppy. He’s not a loud or pushy pup — he’s more of a quiet observer, the kind who watches first, then leans in once he feels safe. With a little patience and continued positive experiences, he’s going to grow into a wonderful companion: loyal, emotionally steady, and devoted to his person. This boy will do best with someone who appreciates a dog with a mind and a heart — someone who understands that confidence grows through trust, not force. In return, they’ll get a dog who bonds deeply and gives that loyalty back tenfold. If his picture caught your attention, we’d love for you to reach out and learn more about him. Sometimes the very best dogs are the ones who just need someone to look past first impressions and see the soul underneath. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. She’s a lower-energy puppy, preferring to snuggle her toys and hang with a mellow crowd. Wren is looking for a forever home where she can get lots of kisses and cuddles and grow into the amazing companion she’s sure to become.Wren is friendly with other dogs and enjoys it when they match her gentle play style. She likes to meet new people, approaching them calmly to sniff. Wren loves to be snuggled, so she has enjoyed meeting older kids who will hold her and tell her how cute she is. She would likely do well with kids of any age with proper introductions. Wren hasn’t met cats yet, but she’s so gentle and sweet that she would likely get along with them. While she enjoys playing with her friends, this independent gal also loves to play by herself, often gathering all of her toys in a big pile that she can snuggle into.Wren is crated consistently and willingly goes into her crate during the day for independent play or naps. She’s happy to go into her crate as long as she has a favorite toy to cuddle. Wren has been working very hard on her house training, but she is still a puppy and will occasionally have an accident if she can’t go outside soon enough. A consistent schedule, patience, and love will help her perfect her house training in no time. Wren has been working on her leash training and looks forward to continuing with her new family. She is a smart, eager girl who is sure to pick up new skills quickly.Wren is a sensitive, gentle soul who can’t wait to be the companion of your dreams.
