Story
Cali is a beautiful 8 month old female Mountain Cur, who I fostered in South Carolina when I was at school. My plan was to foster her until she found a forever home in S, but I got too attached that I brought her back to MA with me. I decided to take a semester off of school so I could work and be there to take care of Cali. I would love to keep her but my 3 year old American Bulldog just doesn’t like the attention being shared so he is jealous and getting aggressive. When thinking of a new home, I would say that the perfect home would have a fenced in back yard, so that way Cali can run around, and I want to make sure that the new potential owners are active, because Cali loves to be outside and stay active.

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Unknown, likely yesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: Yes Tony Hawk is an easy-going, fun-loving pup who’s ready to be your next companion! He is doing well being fostered in the suburbs with two doggy siblings, his foster currently shares, “Tony’s been one of the easiest puppy fosters I’ve had so far. One of my resident dogs can be selective of new dogs and absolutely adores him. He’ll be a great addition to any family ready for a puppy!”Tony is a medium energy pup, where he enjoys a good play session in the yard and then crashes for a two-hour nap immediately after. He gets along well with dogs of all ages and sizes and would do just fine with or without one in the home. He takes cues well from other dogs. Tony had some exposure to cats when fostered down south and had no issues with dog-savvy ones. While he’s not currently being fostered with kids, his friendly personality would likely be fine with one in the home.Tony is a smart boy who loves to sit for a treat and is eager to please. He is crate trained and house trained. He is crated throughout the day and may whimper for a few minutes but settle quickly. Also, he sleeps in the crate at night with no issues. Tony’s hasn’t had any accidents in the home yet since coming north but should be taken out on a regular schedule and routine as a young pup. He walks well on leash and enjoys his daily walks.Tony’s beautiful brindle coat and soulful brown eyes will have you falling in love in no time- is he the one for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Gail is one of 6 siblings born to mom Georgia. Gail is the biggest girl of the litter. Just like her brother and sisters, Gail just wants to have fun with her friends. She likes walking on the grass and smell the plants. She has great puppy manners (potty outside and stays in the crate without complaining). Her days consist of long walks with her foster’s dog. Gail can’t wait to meet you all to show you how she jumps and does the zoomies. Gail is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). To adopt or learn more about: you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. Story
From her MA foster mom: Gia is an absolute sweetie! Loves to play, snuggle, and meet new human and canine friends! She's been a huge hit at the dog park! Crate trained and working on potty training, too. Excellent with children. Although she does jump a bit when she gets excited, she's very gentle. She is very treat motivated!  Gia is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. Story
Grace is one of 6 siblings born to mom Georgia. Grace is unique in that she is the only dark brown puppy of the litter (all her siblings have lighter fur). Gracie has a sweet and calm disposition. She just welcoming everyone with a shaky tail. Just like her siblings, she is happy all day as long as she has a warm bed to go to.  From Grace's foster mom: Grace is a sweetheart of a puppy. She is loving and affectionate and silly. She loves to play with toys and chew on hard chew toys to entertain herself. If you like a cuddle pup, she's your girl. She's happy go lucky and a bit on the submissive side with my 2 larger dogs. She can hold her own, but gets it that they're in charge when she gets too wound up and they correct her. No competition to be the Alpha from this girl! She is AMAZING with my 3 cats! They all have distinct personalities (one is often nasty with fosters, but only hisses at her once in a while and she backs away immediately with respect). She snuggles with our other kitties and doggies. Grace and our kitten like to play CHASE ME and hide and seek in the house. It's adorable. I think Grace would thrive with others animals in the home, especially another dog who shows her the ropes. I can see her watching my dogs and copying them. They sit before coming out of the kennel and at the slider before going in or out. Monkey see, monkey do. She's a smart girl. Sometimes she's shy with men at first, but warms up with treats and pets and loves. Grace will be a wonderful addition to anyone's home. She is such a great puppy girl.  Grace is a larger puppy at only 5 months old. She is still learning a lot like how to behave in a crate or how to signal at the slider to go outside to go potty. She's had some accidents, but she's a work in progress. She's learning the GO POTTY command when we go outside. No playing until business is done!  Grace is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you).
