Story
Frank is a handsome, sweet and loving companion. He is a Mountain Cur/Shepherd Mix, approximately 7-8 years old and 55 pounds. He absolutely loves snuggling and laying around the house. He also likes to run and play fetch, but overall he is a very calm dog. You can usually find him lying in the sun or by the fire. Frank is well-mannered in the house and sleeps in his cozy crate at night. He knows basic obedience commands and is eager to please. He is anxious and scared of other dogs and would need to be in a home with no other dogs. Because of this, Frank does not do well with boarding facilities and has been scared in these situations. He loves people and would do best with a person or family that can spend quality time with him. Frank is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Please apply to adopt Frank at.  Rescueridge.com  and if your application is a possible match a Volunteer will get back to you shortly. No inquiries please without an adoption application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 8:39 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Wiggly is a handsome boy who is looking for a home. Wiggly is now in a NJ foster home. Wiggly is a sweet, affectionate and playful boy who loves other dogs. He shakes his whole bottom when he is happy! Wiggly can be nervous with new friends or new situations but he is very sweet and warms up with a kind touch and a little patience. Treats help! He is learning housebreaking, crate training and leash skills. We think Wiggly would do best in a home with another dog.  Wiggly is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He  tested negative for heartworm . His adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
WESTCHESTER, NY: Presenting….OOBIE! This distinguished gentleman is looking for a new lease on life and would love you to be a part of it! Oobie is a sweet 64 lb. black and brindle boy who’s estimated to be about 3 years young. If you’re not falling in love with his coat, you’re falling in love with his charming smile, and happy demeanor. Oobie would do best as your one & only pup, but he certainly doesn’t mind other dogs when he’s out on his walks. This stunning gentleman would love to show you what it’s like to go out on the town. His favorite way to get there is on an easy walk, or by chasing a ball and coming back. If he’s not found playing fetch by your side, on the couch is another good place to find him. Oobie is a big fan of TV movies, and he’ll be your new favorite coworker if you’re working from home. His favorite ways to spend the day is by lounging around, getting massages, and looking lovingly in your eyes. This boy will not only give you a Sit, Belly, Down, Ball and Paw, but also his whole grateful heart. He also can’t wait for you to know that he’s crate trained, house broken, and can be left alone from 10-6 without any issues. He would be a pawesome addition to any home and so grateful for being a part of your family. Oobie is neutered, up-to-date on his shots, and microchipped too. To meet Oobie, to foster or adopt, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414, or please fill out our online application at www.amsterdog.org. Thank you for caring about a pet in need!

Story
Sweet brindle boy with a puppy-like charm will quickly steal your heart - in the SPUR of the moment! Spur is estimated to be 4-5 years old and weighs 81 lbs. A big boy for sure, but yet he can still tug on your heart strings with a simple tilt of his head! Sadly, he was found as a stray, tied to a gate for an indeterminate length of time, extremely dehydrated and pathetically underweight at 59 lbs – already at a grave disadvantage in an overcrowded city shelter. Yet, Spur kept his spirits high and was always ready for affection, excited to play, and always sat when told. Luckily, a foster stepped up for Spur and he has been since waiting for his forever home. Although he takes treats ever so gently, due to his size, Spur should probably avoid small/young children. Spur is spectacularly socialized and gets along with other dogs. Handsome Spur really does have so much love to give. He is a wonderful companion, who could really use a friend, too. Spur is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and ready for his forever home! If you can open your heart and home to dear Spur, please contact AmsterDog by call/text at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt Spur at AmsterDog.org. Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
Vance's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Vance's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=006842) to learn even more about Vance! Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Vance is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Vance is a joy to host! He's come so far since arriving in NYC! He is so playful and loves to be nearby his humans. He loves to be in the mix of things. He enjoys early morning & late evening walks when NYC's noises aren't as loud. He sniffs his way along his walks within our green complex grounds. Vance can be coaxed into sitting outside in the sun and watching life go by, it’s helped him understand what causes which noises. He only has one working eye due to a birth defect but gets by pretty well despite that. He is very comfortable inside, even in an apartment on a noisy intersection. He is doing much better with a routine, he is much more comfortable outside when he recognizes the path to get wherever he's going - and thrilled if there is a Pup Cup rewarded along the way. He is so playful with his toys, he prances around the apartment with his squeaky toy balls & plushies. Vance will bring a favorite toy over to you to play with him too. He plays a mean game of indoor fetch! He is crate trained and easily sleeps on his bed inside it until he’s let out for walks or to play - overnight or for periods during the day. Vance does the best full-body stretches when he is let out of the crate! He will also curl up next to you on the couch, when allowed, and will sleep peacefully against you with quiet snores. He will reward you with wet kisses when he’s happy and comfortable. He eats 3x/day with portions split between a slow-feeder & a Kong chew toy. He will eat pretty much any treat you give him. He is very food motivated and will follow you around the kitchen thinking he will be getting a treat just for being there. He gets a lick mat with peanut butter (his favorite) & puzzle board with treats for extra enrichment time. We go out for walks about every 5-6 hours. His first walk is usually between 630-7AM and the last one is between 11-12PM. He is house-trained but had two accidents when he first arrived. We’ve been using a gentle leader & leash for walks recently to help train him to heel better and to be a little less stressed on the walks. He's been trained to sit, stay, and come. He will do so well in his forever home, with lots of love and encouragement!
