Story
Frank is a handsome, sweet and loving companion. He is a Mountain Cur/Shepherd Mix, approximately 7-8 years old and 55 pounds. He absolutely loves snuggling and laying around the house. He also likes to run and play fetch, but overall he is a very calm dog. You can usually find him lying in the sun or by the fire. Frank is well-mannered in the house and sleeps in his cozy crate at night. He knows basic obedience commands and is eager to please. He is anxious and scared of other dogs and would need to be in a home with no other dogs. Because of this, Frank does not do well with boarding facilities and has been scared in these situations. He loves people and would do best with a person or family that can spend quality time with him. Frank is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Please apply to adopt Frank at.  Rescueridge.com  and if your application is a possible match a Volunteer will get back to you shortly. No inquiries please without an adoption application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2024, 7:10 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Wiggly is a handsome boy who is looking for a home. Wiggly is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ on our next transport. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Wiggly and several other pups believed to be his siblings were facing euthanasia at a rural shelter in Louisiana only because the shelter was full of dogs. Wiggly is a sweet, affectionate and playful boy who loves other dogs. He shakes his whole bottom when he is happy! There is no good reason for him to lose his life. Luckily he is safe now in a foster home but waiting to come to NJ and find his family. He is learning housebreaking, crate training and leash skills.  Wiggly is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He  tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Story
WARREN COUNTY, NY: Young, sweet Cobain is certainly a whole lot of handsome! With his deep, warm honey eyes framed by his dark brindle coloring, there is a unique regalness in his appearance. This amazing prince-pup has been through so much and has been the most peaceful, easy-going boy in all the land! Now, can you give Cobain his happily ever after? Cobain is only about 1 year old and weighs 62 lbs. For the first year of his life, Cobain was kept in a bedroom, rarely leaving the room, nevermind going for walks. Suddenly, he was dumped at the loud, chaotic shelter, where he was so scared he couldn't function, even collapsing out of fear. Even though he was so frightened Cobain never lashed out, he only wanted to hide - a testament to his truly gentle nature. Cobain was at-risk for hurting himself and quickly scheduled for euthanasia. Thankfully, AmsterDog was able to reserve Cobain and one of our wonderful fosters stepped up to save this sweet boy. And wow, has he blossomed! Cobain is delightful and an incredibly easy dog who loves to hang out with other dogs, too. Not only is Cobain adorably puppy-esque, he also loves toys and will play with anything he can get his paws on! Cobain is mellow and quiet in the house, friendly and affectionate – always a wonderful & polite house-dog! His previous owner said that they felt so special at how happy and excited Cobain got when they arrived home from work. Cobain even already knows some commands, too: sit, stay, & wait. Cobain really is such a good dog who needs a little boost of confidence as he adjusts to change but then lets his beautiful personality and easy-going temperament shine! Cobain is truly a treasure of a dog who deserves a loving forever home to show him the world. He hasn't seen much of it, but he sure would love to see it with you! For more information on Cobain, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt this one-of-a-kind gentle gem at AmsterDog.org. Story
WESTCHESTER, NY: Presenting….OOBIE! This distinguished gentleman is looking for a new lease on life and would love you to be a part of it! Oobie is a sweet 64 lb. black and brindle boy who’s estimated to be about 3 years young. If you’re not falling in love with his coat, you’re falling in love with his charming smile, and happy demeanor. Oobie would do best as your one & only pup, but he certainly doesn’t mind other dogs when he’s out on his walks. This stunning gentleman would love to show you what it’s like to go out on the town. His favorite way to get there is on an easy walk, or by chasing a ball and coming back. If he’s not found playing fetch by your side, on the couch is another good place to find him. Oobie is a big fan of TV movies, and he’ll be your new favorite coworker if you’re working from home. His favorite ways to spend the day is by lounging around, getting massages, and looking lovingly in your eyes. This boy will not only give you a Sit, Belly, Down, Ball and Paw, but also his whole grateful heart. He also can’t wait for you to know that he’s crate trained, house broken, and can be left alone from 10-6 without any issues. He would be a pawesome addition to any home and so grateful for being a part of your family. Oobie is neutered, up-to-date on his shots, and microchipped too. To meet Oobie, to foster or adopt, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414, or please fill out our online application at www.amsterdog.org. Thank you for caring about a pet in need!
