Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Wiggly is a handsome boy who is looking for a home. Wiggly is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ on our next transport. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Wiggly and several other pups believed to be his siblings were facing euthanasia at a rural shelter in Louisiana only because the shelter was full of dogs. Wiggly is a sweet, affectionate and playful boy who loves other dogs. He shakes his whole bottom when he is happy! There is no good reason for him to lose his life. Luckily he is safe now in a foster home but waiting to come to NJ and find his family. He is learning housebreaking, crate training and leash skills.  Wiggly is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He  tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Story
Hi!  My name is Tina and me and my sister Maeve are looking for forever homes after our owners were cited for having to many dogs within city limits.  Luckily, they were given time to find us somewhere else to go and then BCAA heard about our plight and said they would help us .... yeah!  We look almost exactly alike except I have white socks on all four of my feets and Maeve has only have one sock on her front left foot.  We are are around 22lbs apiece and since we are about 7mos old now, we should stay under 30lbs full grown.  No one knows for sure what we are mixed with ... some say whippet mix, some say mountain cur mix, but our foster mom says whatever we are we are both super cute with beautiful brindle coats.  We are pretty shy when first meeting new folks but with just a little bit of time, some TLC and then some treats both of us are coming out of our shells and love getting attention from our foster parents.  We really love our food and take treats gently.  We have done well in a crate, both separately and together, without any accidents but we would prefer to be out with you.  We are slowly learning about a leash but will need more training and confidence building so a fenced yard would be best for both of us.  We are not looking to be adopted together but a home with another dog to help guide us would be great and we have gotten along with all of the other small/medium sized dogs we have met; so far we have shown curiosity about the cats but have not been aggressive with them.  If you would like to meet me or my sister, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
WARREN COUNTY, NY: Young, sweet Cobain is certainly a whole lot of handsome! With his deep, warm honey eyes framed by his dark brindle coloring, there is a unique regalness in his appearance. This amazing prince-pup has been through so much and has been the most peaceful, easy-going boy in all the land! Now, can you give Cobain his happily ever after? Cobain is only 1 year old and weighs 62 lbs. For the first year of his life, Cobain was kept in a bedroom, rarely leaving the room, nevermind going for walks. Suddenly, he was dumped at the loud, chaotic shelter, where he was so scared he couldn't function, even collapsing out of fear. Even though he was so frightened Cobain never lashed out, he only wanted to hide - a testament to his truly gentle nature. Cobain was at-risk for hurting himself and quickly scheduled for euthanasia. Thankfully, AmsterDog was able to reserve Cobain and one of our wonderful fosters stepped up to save this sweet boy. And wow, has he blossomed! Cobain is delightful and an incredibly easy dog who loves to hang out with other dogs, too. Not only is Cobain adorably puppy-esque, he also loves toys and will play with anything he can get his paws on! Cobain is mellow and quiet in the house, friendly and affectionate – always a wonderful & polite house-dog! His previous owner said that they felt so special at how happy and excited Cobain got when they arrived home from work. Cobain even already knows some commands, too: sit, stay, & wait. Cobain really is such a good dog who needs a little boost of confidence as he adjusts to change but then lets his beautiful personality and easy-going temperament shine! Cobain is truly a treasure of a dog who deserves a loving forever home to show him the world. He hasn't seen much of it, but he sure would love to see it with you! For more information on Cobain, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt this one-of-a-kind gentle gem at AmsterDog.org.
