Twister has every reason not to trust the world. Instead, she chooses joy. When Twister arrived at a small high-kill shelter, she was pregnant and scared. The stress of the shelter environment caused her to deliver stillborn puppies. After losing her babies, she went through a period of grief that no mother should ever have to experience. But Twister did not stay there. Today she is a happy, healthy girl who has embraced life again and cannot wait to find a family of her own. She is beautiful inside and out. Twister loves going on group walks with the other dogs and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. She is also great with cats, making her an easy addition to many different types of homes. More than anything, Twister wants to be someone's best friend. Whether she is joining the group for an adventure or simply spending time with her people, she wants to be included and connected. Despite everything she has been through, she remains affectionate, social, and optimistic. She has so much love left to give and is ready to leave her past behind her. Good fit: someone looking for a friendly, affectionate companion who enjoys being part of daily life and wants a true best friend. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. I came from a very nice couple who loved me very much, however, they were homeless. Now don't get me wrong, they took EXCELLENT care of me, but I am a BIG puppy and they were having a hard time taking me on the buses or letting me into the shelters :( So, my parents asked the rescue to take me in and find me the right home, so here I am, looking all buff- if you ask me :) I am a GORGEOUS Catahoula boy, tall, merle and HANDSOME!!
