Story
Found on the side of the road, Magic has proved to be just that, magic. She's a 3-month-old, 6-pound mix of Mountain Cur and Hound who will mature to around 40 pounds. She really is delightful. She gets along well with other dogs, loves to play and is sweet and loving in every way. Great Girl who will turn your life into MAGIC!!! (posted 1/30/26, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **April 23, 2026, 3:35 pm

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Hank, the wiggly, loveable one-year-old Mountain Cur mix who will absolutely steal your heart the moment his little nub tail starts wagging with joy! This 48-pound bundle of sweetness is friendly, playful, and adventurous, with just the right amount of energy to keep life fun without wearing you out. He's the perfect mix of goofy and charming, and he somehow gets even cuter when he's excited. Hank has this signature move where he literally folds into himself like an excited little pretzel, and it never gets old. Hank is housetrained, walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and gets along great with other dogs and calm indoor cats. He's even a gentleman around chickens and horses, which is honestly impressive for a one-year-old pup still figuring out the world. He's working on sit and down, and with consistent training he's going to be an absolute star. Speaking of which, Hank would thrive with a family committed to obedience training because he's smart and eager, and the right guidance will help him shine. He loves walks, exploring, playing with dog friends, chewing on bones, and basically any adventure you're willing to take him on. Once he's settled into a crate, he does just fine and relaxes. Hank is the kind of dog who just wants to be included in your walks, your errands, your lazy evenings, and everything in between. If you're looking for a sweet, silly, and loving companion to share your life with, Hank is your guy! Reach out to AARF by texting 931-260-8018 or visiting www.aarf-tn.com to start your application today.    Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. April 23, 2026, 5:03 pm

Story
Meri is a smart and curious little girl. She is one of the first puppies to run up and greet us as she loves people. She will often break away from her siblings and playmates to explore her play area, looking for a toy or just to check things out. Meri is a funny girl, she gets animated when asking for attention. She keeps herself busy when she needs to. She gets along well with the other puppies, she will make a great addition to most families. We are unsure of the exact breed mix this beautiful girl is, even with a photo of mom. We believe she will be a large sized dog as an adult in the 55+ lb range. She is growing fast, we will do our best to keep her photos updated, but just know that she may be a bit bigger. These photos were taken on 3/1/26. We suspect she has Cattle Dog in her, if so she may be do well with super young children, as this breed tends to be "nippy" as they are a hearding breed. She will come current on her vaccines, spayed, microchipped and is on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. **This is an Out Of Town listing. We transport to the city on this listing.** ______________________________ Considering adoption? Start by filling out our online application (copy and paste the following link) https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DIX/dog Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone or email. A Petfinder Inquiry is not the same as an application - COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a generated confirmation email. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY READY TO ADOPT. All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. *** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents
