She will jump up to give kisses and get affection (and of course treats).  She was picked up as a stray and was lucky enough to be taken from the shelter by a wonderful Mutts supporter in South Carolina.  Dolly is about a year old and weighs 25 pounds.  We are getting to know Dolly and will update her bio as we get to know her.  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. RAE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA  ONCE ADOPTED!   Meet Rae! Rae is a family-friendly good girl with a happy heart and a playful spirit. She loves romping around the yard, playing tug with her toys, and going for car rides with her foster family. Rae absolutely adores kids and has a wonderful ability to match the energy of the person she’s with—ready to play when it’s time for fun and eager to cuddle when it’s time to relax. Rae is a 6-7 month old mixed-breed puppy who is fostered with other dogs of all ages and sizes, and she plays beautifully with everyone. She is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is already showing just how smart she is. Her favorite thing of all? Snuggling up with her foster family. If you’re looking for a good girl, don’t miss out on gorgeous Rae! She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. This sweet little girl loves everyone! Her favorite place is underfoot or playing with our big lab. The world is her oyster and she cannot wait to smell and taste all of it. That beautiful brindle coat is very soft. She is terrific with crate training. She goes in with a little resistance, but no complaints, and does not fuss to be let out. She sleeps through the night. Seven hours is her personal best. She is amazing on a leash for such a young dog. We are working on potty training and making it a priority to go potty when outside. She will be an wondeerful companion for a family that likes to spend time outdoors or has a good backyard with a perch for her to survey her domain. She has lots of energy yet settles down when it is time. She rides well in the car. She loves to hang out on our back porch and enjoys regular walks and sniffs. She is terrific with kids. Approachable and friendly. She is still learning not to jump but she has a very light touch. She is not one of those puppies who practically knocks you down! She would love a doggie friend, but will do well as a solo dog. She will grow into one of those awesome dogs you see calmly hanging out at the neighborhood baseball field. The photo of her asleep is after a few hours visiting with all the people who stopped by our neighborhood yard sale  she did great! Adoption Day: June 20th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2750256##
