She is spayed, up to date on core vaccinations, heart worm negative and microchipped. She is fully grown and weighs 39 pounds. She is very smart at her young age, gets along with other dogs,  (even small ones), and cats. We believe she would be ok with older children as well. She knows to do her business outside, sleeps through the night and is crate trained.  We think this pretty girl would be great for a family with older children and you can watch them grow up together. How can you not fall in love!   Paws For Seniors Adoption Process Thank you for your interest in adopting a Paws For Seniors pet. Potential adopters must follow our adoption process, which includes an adoption application, an interview, reference check, and a home visit. Pre-qualification Applications may be submitted in advance will be kept on file. Some things to consider before completing the Adoption Application. Have a family meeting to discuss how adding a pet will impact your lifestyle, how you may need to change routine, if a dog or cat is better suited and ensure that everyone in the household is ready. Meet Dickie! This senior fella doesn't feel a day over middle aged! He loves a good bout of exercise but won't say no to a nap either. He's a very affectionate boy and gets along with all people. Dickie seems to be okay with other dogs socially but he can overstimulate in high activity situations. He needs to be the only pet in his home. It's time for Dickie to find his forever home! You see, I can be a little skittish about unexpected sounds and sometimes wary of new people. But once I get to know someone, I am a gentle, attentive boy who knows "Sit, takes treats gently, and enjoys quiet story time I get along fine with other dogs (after appropriate introductions). All the barking and bustling activity around me has me on edge, and it's hard for me to come out of my shell. But let me tell you, I'm really hoping to find a quiet, patient home where I can learn to trust and feel safe. Getting leashed up was a big step for me with the help and understanding from a kind person here at the shelter. Treats are definitely the way to my heart, and a peaceful spot to hang out in sounds like a dream come true. Although I'm not fully shut down out of my kennel, I'm generally very scared and cautious so far. Sweet Beaumont is new to us, but we know already what a wonderful dog he is! He is currently in boarding and already a huge favorite of our kennel manager who says all the time 'I LOVE Beaumont.
