Story
I adopted Duke with the intent of him sharing his forever home with us. At the time, I had a beautiful backyard that I was sure would be his forever playground. Due to some mismanagement of funds by my ex-husband with the mortgage Im forced to downsize back into a townhouse that will not have sufficient room for this beautiful/active little boy. He does well with other dogs but can be possessive with his person. He loves to run, jump, and play hide the treat(PlottHound Boxer Mix). He is very curious, a little stubborn, and can talk back.

Meet Annie: the Social Butterfly in a Brindle Coat 🐾✨ At 5.5 years old and 55 pounds of pure huggable perfection, Annie is basically the hostess of every party she’s ever been to (and yes, she considers your living room a party). She’s been thriving in her foster home, which is basically Grand Central Station, kids, guests, deliveries, you name it, and she’s loved every second of it. She’s polite on walks, excellent with people of all sizes, and will happily supervise your daily activities to ensure you’re doing them “right.” Whether your home is buzzing with life or you just want a gorgeous, snuggly sidekick, Annie’s ready to clock in. Story
Introducing, Missy! Missy is 8 years old and 65 lbs. This sweet girl was surrendered to a rural animal shelter because her owners had too many dogs. We don't know what Missy's life was like before, but she definitely had many litters of puppies. Missy is currently living her best life in a wonderful foster home. She can be shy at first, but given a few days, her lovely personality will start to show. She has done well with other dogs (slow introductions are always suggested) and loves to run and play. Missy is housebroken, great in the car, and loves going on a long walk. Don't let Missy's age deter you...this girl acts like she's a young pup and has many good years left! Interested in learning more about Missy? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt *Missy spayed, up to date on vaccines, was given monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

Story
Lexi was born & bred to be a bear hunter, but she is entirely too sweet and gentle for that to be her calling. Instead of simply leaving her in the woods like many hunters do, her owner cared enough about her to turn her over to rescue so she could live a full, happy life. This pretty girl is with a foster now and is now learning all the things she needs to know to be a great house dog. She even has her first toy! She is so friendly and very gentle but will need time to adjust to new expectations. She is housebroken to a doggy door already! She adores her foster sister dog and she loves her crate! She prefers to eat there and if she gets tired during the day she goes into it and takes a nap. Lexi loves to meet new people and is happy to get tons of pets and attention from kids. She is a bit timid at first so we feel she would be best for a family with another dog to help her learn the ropes. If there is a Lexi sized spot in your heart, click the big black button marked “Ask About Me” and we will send you an application. This dog is being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
