Story
Hi there, I'm Teressa, a 1.5-year-old, 68-pound, brindle, Mountain Cur mix. I'm looking for a compassionate and caring family who will love and be with me as much as possible. I'm a well-mannered dog who loves to snuggle with you and give kisses. I am so polite, I even wait for the vet while patiently seated in a chair! I'm great on a leash. I love people and I'm very loyal to them. I want to have people of my own who will treat me like a princess. I'm good with other dogs and even cats! I'm vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. I have heartworms which my rescue will have me treated for, and I'll be fine soon. I'm house trained but I don’t like the crate or being left alone. I have some separation anxiety and I cry when I'm left by myself. I need a family who will understand my feelings and help me work on this. I would do best with a family who is not away from the home most of the day. Maybe with a stay-at-home mom or work-from-home professional. I'm being fostered near Nashville, TN, but I can be transported for the right-fitting family. You must be 21 or older to apply, and you must be ready to give me a lot of love and attention. If you think you can be my forever family, fill out an application. I can't wait to see you!

Story
Hi there, I'm Penny, a 2-year-old Mountain Cur mix who is ready to find my forever family. I'm spayed, vaccinated and heartworm negative. I am also house, crate and leash trained. I’m a calm girl who is good with children. I am great with cats and awesome when it comes to my dog friends. I'm a medium-sized dog with a huge heart. I'm white with brown spots, and I have a cute smile. I'm currently being fostered in Knoxville, TN, but I can be transported to nearby states for the right home. Story
Reba McIntyre….one of the smartest ladies in country music is who our girl is named after.  Our Black Mouth Cur mix girl (look up this unique breed and know that she is everything and more) is as smart as she is beautiful!  Our foster mom Angela who found her and her three brothers on the side of a country, rural road, says that Reba and her sibs are survivors.  But as usual you can expect that little Miss Reba is special with a sweet and gentle personality that also brings a calmness to all those around her.   Although they were found roaming on a back road, this girl is far from being a wanderer.  Actually she and her brothers quickly settled into knowing their foster home and all the rules and soon were the best little guests! They never leave your side! Reba and her brothers have been with small children, cats, other dogs, cows, and birds (the Guineas and chickens sleep on top of their dog house)  and aside from an intial curiosity they are overall passive about other animals and young toddlers and kids!  We think these pups are 4 months old and Reba might be a 60 pound girl (tops) when fully grown.  A good substantial but not huge girl that will be ready to observe, learn and obey your every command given with respect.  This girl could be a small farm girl that exists with the livestock that most dogs have no experience with.  Think about it.  She is the diamond in the rough and the true gem to be considered to adopt.  She is the IT girl puppy!   Please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in the soul and not just the looks   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 5, 2024, 11:12 am

Take the Pippa challenge!Come to Animal Aid any day between 9am and noon, meet Pippa, and if you don't smile so hard your cheeks hurt, if you don't feel like life is good and anything is possible, if you're not giddy and goofy and full of butterfly flutters, then we'll double your money back!**Ok, there's no money involved -- it's totally free to visit our dogs. But if there was a fee, we'd double it back -- that's how AMAZING Pippa is!Weighing in at a fully-grown 30 pounds, this black & tan hound, with her docked, ever-wagging tail, is pure joy and affection wrapped up in a soft, shiny body. When she sees her friends (and EVERYONE is a friend!) she grins -- a real, full grin! -- and her entire body wiggles with delight! Give Pippa a few pats and scratches (and then a few more!) and she's ready to play! Sit back and enjoy the show as she tosses up little twigs and pinecones, nose-boops them mid-air, and then chases them, trying to grab them with her front paws!I'm smiling just thinking about her! Pippa is a sweet, snuggly, happy, friendly, fabulous little girl. She came to us from an overcrowded rural shelter, and is ready to light up any home!Pippa is heartworm-positive. Animal Aid will cover all treatment costs, even after you adopt her!Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
