Story

Asha’s owners loved her, but had a farm and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and made the choice to surrender her. Asha is high energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and to be with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org . If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes!

This family was found in an abandoned building and with it being winter, was brought to the shelter so they would survive….. and their mama has done a wonderful job with them!! They are a cute mixture of colors and personalities. Their mom is a mountain dog mix and we have no idea on the dad so we aren't sure of any prey drive. They are a fun group of puppies and are now playing with other puppies just fine. AJ is one that just blends in. He is not in charge, nor one to hide. He likes greeting people and playing. He gets along with the other puppies but always enjoys any extra attention. He will need the basic puppy training but this group catches on quite quick. He is just a fun baby that is looking to have more fun with a new family. He will do well with any family, he would just need some consistent play or exercise. AJ is being fostered in TN but no worries we transport using the most animal-friendly transports on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

He likes nothing more than to be held and kiss your face. We aren't thinking he's gonna be even close to his mom's size since he is half the size of his siblings but he may sprout overnight!? He will need the basic puppy training but should do fine in any type home. He is a curious pup so will need an eye kept on him as he's small enough to get into a lot of things. He is a little fighter ready to have his own family. Abel is being fostered in TN but we do transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest. He loves his stuffed toys and to be loved on by humans as well. He has the cutest bobtail and looks for direction from his human friends. Tye tolerates big groups of people enjoying all the attention he can get! Frozen kongs, a snuggle blanket and stuffies and Tye is the happiest boy ever! This beautiful boy has learned basic obedience, walks well on leash and enjoys hiking and resting. Tye is eager to meet anyone interested in him. If you see him at events or on a trail stop and have a conversation with him. His eyes are mesmerizing so you may get lost in them. Tye perfers to be the one and only child but he may be persuaded to share his human with just the sibling. This boy has the look of a smooth-coated hunting Lurcher with Whippet influences. At 22.5 weeks of age & 26 lbs, she is just the perfect combination of happy, active, and affectionate.  She is great with the other puppies, likes cats, and loves children.  Dora is intelligent and quickly learns and obeys what is expected of her.  Dora is ready to meet and bond with her furever family. Dora is fully vetted which includes all puppy shots, rabies vaccination, spayed, and microchipped. KAI IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    Meet Kai, or as he’s lovingly called Kaigaroo because he acts like he’s pure bred kangaroo and will hop around the yard as if he was one. He’s a sweetheart who loves cuddles and loves to follow you everywhere trying to be a little helper. He’s been working on his training and knows quite a few commands as well as being kennel trained. He’s a very good boy and has a big heart just waiting to hop into yours. He is good with kids and other dogs. He loves wrestling/ playing in the yard with his foster fur siblings. He is a year old Plott Hound Mix and 40lbs.  Kai is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $550 and that includes his transport to VA.
