She is friendly and gentle. She will need time to adjust to new expectations. She has never been in a house. She has only lived in a kennel, instead of doing the hunting she would rather run in the woods and play, so she needs to be a pet. She is sweet but timid and would love to have a family to love and play with. We do transport with Rescue Riders Pet Transport. One of the most animal friendly transports on the road. Meet Jack! This guy has a fun and energized personality that's sure to bring some new life into his new home! He's the perfect mix of energetic and lazy. Jack loves to go for long walks or adventures with his people, happy to whatever as long as he's with his people. He has done well with other dogs similar sized to him, but he can be a bit more energetic for older dogs who aren't as interested in playing. He does resource guard high value items (such as treats, food or anything seen as high value), so some extra perceptions around other dogs or young children is needed. Because of his guarding tendencies, he would do best in a home with older children who display a level of understanding around dogs. He is reported to be both crate trained and housebroken, making his transition into his new home just that much easier! If you're interested in meeting Jack, stop by the shelter today!

Poppy just came to us so we are still getting to know her at this time. So far we know she is a happy sweet girl but will need time to adjust to a home. Story
Maryann showed up at a good Samaritan's house. The good Samaritan brought her to our facility, and we took her in. Well, how could we resist. She was so frightened and scared but is doing much better now. She is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, house trained and ready to be adopted. Who couldn't resist her face. She is so adorable and she needs a good loving home full of happiness, playfulness and lots of love. The foster that has her now says she is coming out of her shell and is very playful and full of life. She is very curious and so affectionate. She will be great for any family to have as a family member. She is in TN but the cost of transport to your area is included in her fee. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road, Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
