Story
Mildred was left behind in an empty house after her owner moved. Needless to say, she was starved for food and affection. She's a beautiful, smart pup, about 1.5 years old. One of her defining features is her long ears which point straight up and cross over her head...absolutely adorable! She'd make a great gal pal:) Mildred can understandably get a little territorial over her food, but she's a smart pup--one correction from her owner (I used a quick spray from a water bottle) is all it takes for her to correct her behavior. Mildred loves to run and play and is a huge cuddle bug. She's ready to crawl up into just about any lap for love and affection-- not realizing she's a little big for a lap dog:) Mildred plays really well with male dogs but can get a little testy around other females. She'd do best as an only dog or in a household with only male dogs.

Story
We found Socks a few months ago, abandoned in an empty lot near our house and have been taking care of her ever since. She is very shy at first but once she warms up to you she is super sweet and playful. She gets along great with our other dog and is very chill. She is about a year old and up to date on shots, with no health issues. She is mostly house-trained, and from what I can tell she seems like a pretty trainable dog, but she definitely has some anxiety so she may take a bit to warm up to you. When we first found her, she did not leave her crate for a month, but now she is comfortable and generally acts like a puppy. She is still scared around new people and I don't expect that to go away anytime soon, but she has never been aggressive with anyone. She has shown a bit of food aggression towards our other dog a couple of times, but that is normally not an issue. She has had a hard life and needs lots of love! She is a good puppy. She is just really too big for my small children and the baby we are about to have. She needs a bigger home with someone with a lot of time to just her. She is potty trained and crate trained. She does not walk on a leash very well and just has a ton of energy all day. We just thought we could keep her but with our kids and the new baby it really is just to much. We want her to have a good home where someone can spend all their time focused on helping her be the best dog she can be. Also not sure what kind of dog she is we just know she is a mixed breed.
